Mr. Tien is the breadwinner of a family with an elderly mother, young children, a disabled brother, and orphaned nephews and nieces. Previously, when he was healthy, he was the main breadwinner in the family, taking care of a family of 6. In 2024, Mr. Tien suffered a stroke and was unable to continue working due to his poor health, making life difficult for the family. Currently, his family has to rely on help from local authorities and neighbors.
Clubs, teams, volunteer groups inside and outside the province and benefactors donated money to help Nguyen Xuan Tien's family.
In order to help Mr. Tien's family overcome difficulties, the program "Aspiration to Live" has connected with benefactors to donate 172.3 million VND. This amount of money not only has material value but also is a source of spiritual encouragement to help Mr. Tien overcome difficulties and have the conditions to continue raising his children and grandchildren to study.
After discussing with the family and local authorities, the program organizers agreed to allocate 30 million VND for the family to repair and upgrade the house and build a new toilet; 40 million VND to buy 2 breeding cows to develop the economy ; pay off the loan of 9.7 million VND; save 90 million VND to take care of the family; the remaining amount for the family to use for immediate living expenses.
On behalf of her son and family, Ms. Dang Thi Nhanh emotionally said: "Thank you to the benefactors who came to our family, thank you to the Aspiration to Live program for giving meaningful gifts, helping our family overcome difficult times, creating conditions for the children to continue going to school."
Ms. Luu Thi Giang Huong (Amy Huong and friends), Deputy Head of the Resource Mobilization Committee of the Vietnam Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans, donated 10 million VND to Mr. Tien's family.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Association for the Support of the Disabled - Orphans and Poor Patients mobilized to donate more than 28 million VND to the family and presented symbolic plaques of teams, groups and benefactors who sent support money.
Hon Quan District Sponsorship Association, together with Phuoc An Commune authorities and neighbors, presented money to support Mr. Tien's family.
