Postponing the worship of Bodhisattva Heart relics on May 3

Information from the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ho Chi Minh City, the time to invite, enshrine and worship the relics of Bodhisattva Thich Quang Duc's heart at Vietnam National Pagoda will be announced later.

Preparations for monks, nuns and Buddhists to worship the relics have been completed.

The Organizing Committee said that so far, 1,088 groups with nearly 50,000 people have registered to worship the Bodhisattva Heart relic at Vietnam National Temple.

On the afternoon of May 3rd alone - the first scheduled opening day - nearly 10,000 people registered online, including many groups of over 1,000 people, and online registration is still ongoing.

It is known that the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ho Chi Minh City is the unit designated by the Sangha to carry out the invitation, enshrinement and worship of the Buddha's relics at Thanh Tam Pagoda (Binh Chanh District) and the Heart relics of Bodhisattva Thich Quang Duc at Vietnam National Pagoda (District 10).

These are two official spiritual events in the 2025 United Nations Vesak Festival program, receiving the attention of a large number of monks, nuns, and Buddhists.

Rows of chairs are prepared for people to come and worship the relics.

On the morning of May 2, the military plane carrying Buddha's relics from India arrived in Ho Chi Minh City. The Buddha's relics were enshrined at Thanh Tam Pagoda.
