In the teaching staff of Hon Gai High School (Ha Long Ward), there are many dedicated and skilled teachers. Among them, we must mention teacher Ngo Lan Thanh (born in 1983), always at the forefront of all school activities, trusted and loved by colleagues, parents and students. With enthusiasm, love for the profession and students, since working at the school (in 2009) until now, teacher Thanh has always completed the assigned tasks well. When mentioning teacher Thanh, colleagues immediately think of a Literature teacher with solid pedagogical expertise, with many improvements and innovations in teaching methods.

For good and excellent students, teacher Thanh encourages and motivates them to develop their full potential to explore and be creative. For students with lower academic performance, she spends a lot of time tutoring and helping them improve. At the 2025 high school graduation exam, out of 50 students of class 12B3 in the 2022-2025 school year that she is in charge of, 42 students achieved a Literature score of 8 or higher, 13 students achieved a score of 9 or higher. In the provincial excellent student exam, the Literature team that she participated in teaching also had 4 students winning prizes, of which 1 student won the second prize. Teacher Thanh has been recognized twice as a provincial excellent teacher (organized every 4 years); in the 2025-2026 school year, she achieved the title of an excellent homeroom teacher at the grassroots level.

Teacher Ngo Lan Thanh shared: I focus on training students in the skills of doing different types of questions, from easy to difficult, and diversifying the test format. In addition to oral tests, I require students to grade each other's papers; increase the number of grading, correction, and return sessions so that students can gain experience after each writing. Thanks to that, students have a firm grasp of test-taking skills.

At Ha Long High School for the Gifted, teacher Tran Thanh Hang (born in 1985) is also a shining example for her colleagues to learn and follow. During her 16 years at Ha Long High School for the Gifted, teacher Hang has devoted all her heart to imparting knowledge to students and achieved many high results in teaching. In 2025, teacher Hang's student Trinh Viet Hoang won a silver medal at the Abu Rayhan Biruni International Chemistry Olympiad in Uzbekistan. From 2012 to present, teacher Hang's students have won 12 national prizes for excellent students in Chemistry. In the past 10 years, teacher Hang has had many grassroots-level initiatives on teaching content for reviewing excellent students at all levels; there is 1 provincial-level initiative (in 2024). Teacher Hang received a certificate of merit from the Provincial People's Committee in 2021 and the title of Provincial Emulation Fighter for the period 2022-2024.

Teacher Tran Thanh Hang shared: Personally, I think that in order to achieve good results in training excellent students, the first thing to do is to discover talented students and, more importantly, to nurture their love and passion for the subject. In particular, for students with outstanding qualities, a roadmap will be built and their own resources and exercises will be provided so that they can maximize their abilities. I also always keep in mind that I am not only a person who imparts knowledge, but also a companion and guide for students on their journey of self-study and self-research. I always support students in connecting with former students who have achieved high results in excellent student exams so that they can learn skills and practical experience from their seniors.

In recent times, Quang Ninh has had many outstanding teachers. Many teachers have been exemplary, leading the movement "Each teacher is an example of self-study and creativity", dedicating themselves to the cause of "growing people". Currently, the rate of qualified teachers in the whole province is 98%, an increase of 3.4% compared to 2024. More than 1,200 managers and teachers have doctoral and master's degrees; 121 People's Teachers and Excellent Teachers. With their love for the profession and enthusiasm, the province's teachers have been contributing to nurturing generations of Quang Ninh students to take firmer steps on the path of knowledge, becoming the pride of the province's education sector.
