At the conference, delegates were informed of Plan No. 883/KH-BYT dated June 20, 2025 of the Ministry of Health on peak actions to prevent and control dengue fever, hand, foot and mouth disease and Covid-19; reported on the dengue fever situation in the first 6 months of the year and the prevention and control activities that have been implemented. Currently, our country has entered the peak season of dengue fever, with hot and humid weather and heavy rain creating favorable conditions for mosquitoes to develop and transmit the disease, the number of cases has recorded a local increase in some localities.

In Son La province, there are 2 dengue fever outbreaks in Mai Son and Song Ma communes. After the investigation results, the provincial Center for Disease Control coordinated with local authorities, regional health centers, and related units to carry out 3 rounds of spraying insecticides for households living in high-risk areas...

In the coming time, the Department of Health of provinces and cities will continue to review the process of screening, classifying, providing emergency care and treating dengue fever and infectious diseases to ensure timely admission of patients and proper treatment according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health, in order to minimize severe cases and deaths.
