Strengthening Vietnam sports exchange

Attending the Seminar on the Vietnamese side were Mr. Dang Ha Viet, General Director of the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, Vice President of the Vietnam Olympic Committee (VOC); Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Director of the Social Department of the Central Economic Committee; Mr. Tran Van Manh, General Secretary of the VOC... Also attending were managers and scientists from agencies and units under the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security , the University of Sports and Physical Training, representatives of national sports federations and associations and typical athletes of Vietnam. On the Chinese side, there were Professor Ha Van Nghia, General Secretary of the China Sports Economics Research Institute of Peking University, Teacher of the Olympic Champion Athletes Class; Mr. Hou Kun, Member of the Cultural Heritage and Olympic Committee of the International Olympic Committee; Mr. Lu Han, Head of e-Sports of the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee.

The discussion focused on three main topics: The development of sports economy in China and Vietnam; Protection of athletes' rights and career guidance for athletes after retirement. In addition, the two sides also shared some information about the preparation for the 19th Asian Games (ASIAD) in Hangzhou, China and the development of e-sports in the two countries.

At the seminar, the Chinese side shared some measures to reform the sports industry, many documents and policies to promote this industry have been issued and implemented. The sports industry has not only become a catalyst to promote economic growth but also a focus to improve the "happiness index" and quality of life of the people of this country. Over the past ten years, the integration and development of the sports industry and other industries in China have become factors supporting economic development, including the correlation between the sports industry and other industries: sports and tourism, sports and culture, sports andeducation , sports and elderly care, etc. The "sports +" industries with their own characteristics will help improve human health, meet the needs of a better life, become a field that attracts resources, attracts investment, stimulates consumption and promotes socio-economic development.

Regarding the protection of athletes' rights, arranging jobs after retirement not only helps improve the benefits for athletes but also enhances the development of the professional team of the country's sports. By overcoming psychological and personal problems, athletes can feel secure in devoting themselves to the sports career, thereby trying their best to compete for the flag and colors.

In September, Electronic Sports (ESport) will become an official competition at the 19th ASIAD in Hangzhou, China. This will be an opportunity to promote the development of the ESport market, especially in Southeast Asia; at the same time, it is a promising area of cooperation between China and Vietnam. China's ESport projects are being developed strongly and are leading in the world.

Speaking about the effectiveness of the Dialogue, Mr. Dang Ha Viet, General Director of the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, Vice President of the Vietnam Olympic Committee, affirmed that “this is a testament to the cooperation between Vietnam and China. This event is a favorable opportunity for the two countries to continue to enhance exchanges, learning, and discussions on new areas in sports management and development, the future Olympic Movement, etc., contributing to strengthening the friendship, mutual understanding and enhancing the sports spirit of the two countries in accordance with the slogan of the International Olympic Committee “Faster, Higher, Stronger - Together”./.
