Strengthening coordination in implementing projects on gender equality and children

The document was issued to implement the proposals and recommendations of the Presidium of the Vietnam Women's Union in Report No. 551 on evaluating the implementation results of Project 8 "Implementing gender equality and solving urgent issues for women and children" under the National Target Program for the development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021 - 2030, phase 1 from 2021 - 2025 (referred to as Project 8).

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Women's Union (the standing agency implementing Project 8) to continue to proactively and closely coordinate with relevant departments, branches and localities in implementing Project 8 in the province according to Plan No. 2104 of the Provincial People's Committee on implementing the National Target Program on Socio -Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas by 2025; review the set targets and tasks to implement them effectively and strictly comply with the provisions of the program.

Organize the assessment and summary of Project 8 Phase 1 and propose contents and solutions for Phase 2 to ensure that they are suitable for the local practical situation and follow the instructions of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union. During the implementation process, if there are any difficulties or problems, promptly report to the Provincial People's Committee (through the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions) for consideration and timely direction to resolve them.

The Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions coordinates with the Provincial Women's Union and relevant agencies and units to advise the Provincial People's Committee to allocate funds to maintain and ensure the effective operation of models and activities of Project 8 such as "Community Communication Team", "Leader of Change" Club... according to the instructions in Circular No. 55 of the Ministry of Finance ; effectively organize the implementation of assigned tasks in Plan No. 2104 of the Provincial People's Committee.

Relevant departments, branches and localities, according to their assigned functions and tasks, shall strengthen coordination with the Provincial Women's Union in implementing Project 8 activities in 2025, contributing to accelerating the progress of Project 8 activities to complete the targets set in phase 1; inspect, monitor, evaluate and summarize, and report on project implementation results.
