The Department of Agriculture and Environment and the authorities of the districts where the epidemic appeared had to mobilize many forces to quickly control and suppress the epidemic.
According to the leader of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Krong No district, along with measures to suppress the epidemic and strengthen treatment, the functional sector and locality have had to carry out a total vaccination campaign to prevent dangerous diseases that often arise in livestock.
By the end of April, Krong No district had a poultry herd of over 266,200 heads, a pig herd of over 63,700 heads, and a buffalo and cow herd of over 4,200 heads.
Ms. Le Thi Dieu Thao, Deputy Director of the District Agricultural Technical Service Center, said that all levels, sectors and organizations of the district have actively promoted and raised people's awareness of fully vaccinating livestock. People have cooperated well with the authorities to fully vaccinate livestock.
Currently, the center's professional team and veterinary staff of communes, towns and villages are simultaneously vaccinating livestock with the goal of achieving the prescribed rate of over 80%.
Specifically, the district has injected nearly 3,800 doses of foot-and-mouth disease vaccine and nearly 2,500 doses of lumpy skin disease vaccine into buffalo and cow herds. In Dak R'lap district, according to the Agricultural Service Center, the total herd of livestock and poultry in the district is currently about 197,800. Currently, communes and towns are focusing on vaccinating livestock according to regulations, some communes have completed.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet, in charge of veterinary activities in Nhan Co commune, Dak R'lap district, has completed the vaccination of herd of buffalo and cows against lumpy skin disease, reaching over 85%.
According to Mr. Tran Van Tho, village 4, Nhan Co commune, Dak R'lap district, his family has just vaccinated 12 cows against lumpy skin disease. Knowing that this is a dangerous and contagious disease, he is quite confident when vaccinating his herd. He actively takes care of them and supplements their nutrition to improve their resistance to growth.
According to the leader of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, in the context of the current changing weather, high humidity, heavy rain, and hot weather, animal diseases will easily arise.

The Department recommends that localities focus resources on implementing drastic and synchronous solutions to prevent the risk of disease outbreaks, focusing on increasing the vaccination rate. The Department coordinates well with relevant parties to effectively control the quarantine of livestock and animal products entering and leaving the province.
The Department recommends that the People's Committees of districts and cities strengthen the management and supervision of livestock in the area, propagate, guide and require people to strictly comply with livestock vaccination.
For households that do not cooperate and comply with vaccination, consider and handle administrative violations according to regulations. Veterinary establishments closely monitor the epidemic situation, detect early, warn and coordinate to thoroughly handle outbreaks, not allowing the disease to spread widely.
According to statistics, by May 21, the whole province had injected 7,500 doses of lumpy skin disease vaccine (reaching over 33%) and nearly 18,300 doses of foot-and-mouth disease vaccine (88%) for buffaloes and cows.
