Urgently implement support and compensation plans when relocating the power grid system to serve the construction of the expressway project.

STO - On the morning of May 30, at the headquarters of the Provincial People's Committee, Comrade Vuong Quoc Nam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Soc Trang province held a meeting to listen to a report on the progress of site clearance and relocation of 110kV and 220kV lines to serve the construction of Component Project 4 of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Construction Investment Project Phase 1.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Soc Trang province, the project has 8 pillars and 110kV lines affected. Of which, the total recovered area is ^1,153m2 of rice-growing land with a total of 11 households recovered and 5 households affected by the power corridor. Regarding the relocation of technical infrastructure, up to now, the People's Committees of Soc Trang city, My Tu district, and My Xuyen district have approved the compensation, support, and resettlement plan with a total cost of more than 13.5 billion VND. Regarding compensation, support, and resettlement for households, My Tu district and Soc Trang city have posted the compensation, support, and resettlement plan for affected households; My Xuyen district has provided land price certificates and posted to collect opinions from affected households and individuals.

For the 220kV line, 9 transmission lines are affected with a total recovered area of ^{​​1,520m2} of rice-growing land, with a total of 6 households having their land recovered and 8 households affected by the power corridor. Currently, Project Management Board 2 is completing the dossier to submit to the Department of Industry and Trade for appraisal of the estimated compensation and support value; the Soc Trang Provincial Land Fund Development Center has completed the measurement, counting, and public posting of the compensation, support, and resettlement plan and established a payment plan. The People's Committee of My Xuyen district has provided land price certificates and posted them to collect opinions from affected households and individuals.

The necessary thing now is to develop a compensation and support plan according to regulations and work with 6 households in Dai Tam commune, My Xuyen district to consider adjusting the direction of the electric pole close to the land plot boundary to facilitate rice cultivation, not yet applying prices to 2 cases with houses and constructions in Dai Tam commune, My Xuyen district under the safety protection corridor of overhead transmission lines...

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Vuong Quoc Nam suggested that in the spirit of functions and tasks, agencies and units need to actively complete their tasks. Accordingly, Project Management Board 2 continues to monitor and urge the implementation of works and projects, and manage construction contractors; the Department of Agriculture and Environment promptly handles procedures related to site clearance; localities promptly approve compensation plans and support for site clearance. Regarding the proposal to establish a council and team related to the liquidation of materials recovered from the relocation of power infrastructure, it is necessary to seek opinions and suggestions from departments and branches.
