The program aims to encourage people to "turn on 5G" to experience new technology and raise awareness of the practical benefits of 5G in digital life.

To receive the offer, customers just need to text “TN5G7” to 191. The 6GB data provided can only be used on the 5G network and is valid until 24 hours on the day of registration. It is estimated that about 5 million customers will enjoy this offer, ready to join the 5G “data highway” and exploit the benefits of the digital ecosystem.

This is part of Viettel 's strategy to implement Resolution 57 of the Politburo on digital economic development, contributing to gradually realizing the vision of national digital transformation.
5G – Digital infrastructure to boost Vietnam's digital economy
Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo sets a target that by 2030, the digital economy will account for at least 30% of the national GDP, much higher than the global forecast (17% of global GDP by 2028 according to Forrester). To achieve this goal, Vietnam needs a stable low-frequency network platform, in which 5G plays the role of a key connecting axis between people, devices and the entire digital ecosystem.
With its super-fast transmission, low latency and high stability, 5G is the essential infrastructure for deploying core technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and Big Data. 5G is a necessary and sufficient condition for AI to be applied in real time, for billions of IoT devices to operate intelligently, and for big data to become an effectively exploited resource.
Viettel pioneers 5G in Vietnam
Viettel has made rapid progress: After 1 month of launching (October 2024), Viettel has reached 1 million 5G subscribers (Korea or Thailand need about 1 year to reach the same milestone). By May 2025, Viettel has 6 million 5G subscribers, with an impressive density: In Hanoi, 1 in 6 people use Viettel 5G, in Ho Chi Minh City it is 1/8.
Not only is Viettel the pioneer in commercializing 5G, it is also a leading enterprise in developing, investing in infrastructure, and improving the quality of 5G network to serve people.
According to data released by the i-Speed platform of the Vietnam Internet Center, Viettel took the lead in 5G network speed in April 2025. The average download speed of Viettel's 5G network in April 2025 reached 364.43 Mbps, while the upload speed was 97.6 Mbps, contributing to improving user experience and promoting digital transformation in Vietnam./.
