On September 27, the Vietnam Children's Fund in collaboration with the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Dak Lak province and Jollibee Vietnam Company Limited (Jollibee Vietnam) organized a bicycle donation ceremony for disadvantaged students in Lak and Krong Pac districts.

At the program, the Organizing Committee presented 74 bicycles to 74 disadvantaged students in Lak district and Krong Pac district sponsored by Jollibee Vietnam.

These are the number of bicycles out of a total of 158 with a cost of more than 276 million VND donated by the Dak Lak Provincial Children's Fund and sponsors to disadvantaged students in five localities in the province. Specifically, Krong Bong district (40 bicycles), Lak district (40 bicycles), Krong Pac district (34 bicycles), Ea Sup district (40 bicycles) and Buon Ma Thuot city (4 bicycles).

This activity is part of a signed agreement to support children in special and difficult circumstances by Jollibe Vietnam through the Vietnam Children's Support Fund.

In 2024, Jollibee Vietnam Co., Ltd. will donate 458 bicycles in Quang Tri, An Giang and Dak Lak provinces with a total cost of more than VND 800 million through the Vietnam Children's Fund.

This is a practical and meaningful gift for disadvantaged students in the locality, helping them have means of transportation to school, giving them more motivation to strive, study well, and become useful citizens to their families and society.

One of the reasons children have to drop out of school is because of difficult family circumstances, they do not have bicycles to go to school. Many children in remote areas have to wake up at 4-5 am to walk to class, a distance of 5-10 km to get to school on time.

Realizing that urgent need, since 2009, the Vietnam Children's Fund has mobilized sponsors, philanthropists, agencies and units to join hands to help children go to school.

To date, the Fund has donated more than 45,000 bicycles, each worth about 2 million VND. This is aneducational welfare activity aimed at helping children achieve their dreams of success, contributing to the State in caring for the future generations of the country.
