Báo Quốc TếBáo Quốc Tế29/01/2025

On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025), many domestic and international scholars and researchers have offered profound assessments and insights into the role of the Communist Party of Vietnam in relation to the Vietnamese nation.

Đảng cộng sản Việt Nam
The Communist Party of Vietnam is the leading factor determining all the victories of the revolution, creating many miracles in Vietnam.

Mr. Renato Darsie, President of the Italy-Vietnam Friendship Association in the Veneto region.

Mr. Darsie emphasized that today, after 95 years under the Party's leadership, Vietnam is a prosperous, free, unified, and peaceful country in harmony with all nations around the world. Throughout the various stages of this process, the Communist Party of Vietnam has consistently pursued a unified political line with maximum institutional, social, and popular representation to promote the unification of diverse interests that make up Vietnamese society, from economic to territorial and social aspects.

Following national reunification, Vietnam experienced significant demographic growth, with its population increasing from 34 million to 95 million since 1975. The people's quest for a unified vision for the nation's future continued throughout the reconstruction period, aiming to provide housing, cities, schools, and jobs for all. This means that, together with the people, the Communist Party of Vietnam has successfully brought about tremendous positive changes for the Vietnamese people themselves.

According to Mr. Darsie, in addition to efforts to continue implementing the national public health service, meeting the demands for higher salaries and an education system capable of training young people for the future with collective and general knowledge, Vietnam should politically fight against Western culture, which has drawn a significant portion of its youth and society into pragmatic and materialistic individualism as the highest form of aspiration for a better future for the younger generation. He expressed confidence that the Communist Party of Vietnam will certainly continue to succeed in leading the country in the era of reform, thanks to the support and unity of the Vietnamese people.

Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, President of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Japan (VUAJ)

According to Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, prior to the emergence of the Communist Party of Vietnam on February 3, 1930, Vietnam faced a serious crisis regarding its path to national salvation. This prolonged crisis in the early 20th century was thoroughly resolved with the founding of the Party.

Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, President of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Japan.

According to Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, among the many important factors that have helped the Communist Party of Vietnam maintain its leading role in the revolution throughout the past 95 years, the most important factor is the unity and solidarity of the entire Vietnamese nation under the leadership of the Party. Through its mobilization and leadership, the Party has awakened the patriotic nature, the ability to endure hardship, and the strong fighting spirit of each individual citizen.

Furthermore, unwavering commitment to revolutionary goals and sound policies in mobilizing, organizing, and leading the revolutionary movement were also key factors. Moreover, the brilliant leadership of the Party's leaders, who possessed foresight and unwavering commitment to national liberation, played a decisive role in the revolution's success. Skillful military strategies, combined with the art of maintaining and developing the revolutionary strength of the masses, resulted in resounding victories in the nation's history...

Dr. Nguyen Hong Son believes that the Communist Party of Vietnam has determined that the country is standing at the threshold of a new era – an era of national progress. According to Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, the goals that Vietnam has set for the coming period, as the entire nation strives in this new era, are crucial and necessary to elevate the country to a new level. However, to achieve these goals, we need to effectively seize opportunities and address challenges. In this context, the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, along with the unity and efforts of the entire people, will be the decisive factor in the success of national development in this new era.

Jesús Germán Faría Tortosa, Vice President of Venezuela's ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV)

Under the leadership of the Communist Party, Vietnam has achieved many outstanding accomplishments in the economic, political, and social spheres amidst increasingly deep international integration. Economic growth has been maintained at a stable rate, while social welfare policies continue to ensure and meet the basic needs of the people.

However, according to Faría Tortosa, in order to continue to advance further in the journey of successfully building socialism, Vietnam needs to accelerate the resolution of challenges hindering development such as bureaucracy, waste, budget deficits, and the effective management of resources allocated for development.

In reality, the efforts of the Communist Party of Vietnam in implementing reforms and improving the efficiency of state management over the past period have not only strengthened the people's trust but also contributed to enhancing the country's internal strength. This is also clear evidence of the will and political acumen of the Communist Party of Vietnam in the face of the demands of the new development stage.

Expressing admiration for the great achievements that the Communist Party of Vietnam has made in recent years, Mr. Jesús Germán Faría Tortosa said that Vietnam is not only increasingly asserting its position on the international stage, but also serves as a model of development for fraternal countries like Venezuela to refer to and learn from.

Mr. Stefano Bonilauri, Director of Anteo Edizioni Publishing House, Italy

According to Mr. Bonilauri, the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam in 1930 was a historical event, a turning point marking the beginning of a new era in the struggle for independence, freedom, and prosperity of the Vietnamese people. Under the leadership of Ho Chi Minh Thought and the principles of Marxism-Leninism, the Party united the entire nation, focusing its strength and courage on common goals such as national liberation and building a just and prosperous society.

Throughout history, the Communist Party of Vietnam has demonstrated extraordinary leadership capabilities, adapting to changing circumstances and guiding the country through difficult periods such as the resistance war against French colonialism and the invasion by the United States, the struggle for national reunification, and overcoming post-war economic difficulties. Each success achieved, from the victory of the August Revolution in 1945 to the reunification of the country in 1975, and the Doi Moi (Renovation) period, has affirmed the central role of the Vietnamese Communist Party as the leading force of the nation.

The leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam in the current national reform process is crucial. Since the historic Doi Moi (Renovation) reforms of 1986, the Communist Party of Vietnam has demonstrated foresight and determination to promote modernization, economic growth, and improve the living conditions of the Vietnamese people. Thanks to its open and innovative policies, Vietnam has successfully transformed from a backward economy to a dynamic development model that is increasingly recognized internationally…

Currently, Vietnam is truly on the threshold of an era of progress, marked by a clear and ambitious vision. The long-term goals set for 2030 and 2045, aiming to transform the country into an upper-middle-income nation with a modern industrial base by 2030 and a developed, high-income nation by 2045, are bold yet highly realistic. These goals reflect the will of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Vietnamese people to strengthen their role on the international stage, improve the quality of life for their citizens, and consolidate the country's position as a major economic and political power.

Professor G. Devarajan, Secretary General of the All India Forward Bloc (AIFB)

Professor Devarajan noted that the Doi Moi (Renovation) process initiated by the Communist Party of Vietnam in 1986 marked a significant shift in Vietnam's economic policy. Faced with economic stagnation, widespread poverty, and the inefficiency of the state-run economy, the leaders of the Communist Party of Vietnam recognized the need for comprehensive reform.

Professor G. Devarajan, Secretary General of the All India Forward Bloc Party.

The Doi Moi (Renovation) process was designed to modernize Vietnam's economy, improve efficiency, and open the country to global trade while maintaining the state's socialist orientation. These reforms have helped Vietnam transform from one of the world's poorest countries into a rapidly developing economy with significant improvements in living standards, infrastructure, and human development.

Professor G. Devarajan expressed his confidence that under the current leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, General Secretary To Lam and President Luong Cuong will continue the Doi Moi (Renovation) process and will address the new challenges emerging in the modern globalized world. According to the Professor, the leadership must focus on maintaining economic growth, improving social welfare, and ensuring the Party's leading role in the country's political life. Because, according to the Professor, one of the key aspects contributing to Vietnam's success during the Doi Moi period is the Communist Party of Vietnam's ability to maintain political stability while implementing reforms.

The professor expressed his pleasure at seeing that Vietnam's current leadership is paying considerable attention to anti-corruption efforts and ensuring the Party's accountability to the people. According to him, the anti-corruption campaign has helped improve public trust in the Party and its ability to fulfill its promises of modernization and development…

Regarding the goal of reaching new heights in the new era, Professor Devarajan noted that Vietnam is standing at the threshold of a new period of progress, equipped with a strong ideology and a profound commitment to people-oriented policies under new leadership. This transitional period marks an important chapter in the country's ongoing development journey, and under the current leadership of the Party, Vietnam is ready to rise to new heights, fulfilling the aspirations of its people.

Dr. Nguyen Quoc Hung, Vice President of the Union of Vietnamese Organizations in the Russian Federation, Director of the "Tradition and Friendship" Fund for Promoting Russia-Vietnam Cooperation.

As a Vietnamese intellectual who has worked and lived in Russia for many years and has always participated in many activities connected with his homeland, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Hung said he still remembers the history lessons about the founding of the Party in 1930, and the remarkable achievements that the Party has led the Vietnamese people to achieve over the past 95 years...

After 50 years of national reunification and 40 years of implementing the Doi Moi (Renovation) policy, Vietnam has successfully met historical requirements, achieved successful reforms, escaped the status of a poor and underdeveloped country, and attained tremendous achievements of historical significance, creating a new position and strength, a new foundation, potential, status, and international prestige.

Dr. Nguyen Quoc Hung also shared that not only through the press but also upon returning to Vietnam, he clearly felt that his homeland was preparing to enter a new era of development, an era of national progress. General Secretary To Lam emphasized that this is an era of development, an era of wealth and prosperity.

Sharing the thoughts and aspirations of Vietnamese expatriates in the Russian Federation regarding the new development of their homeland, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Hung stated that the country is preparing all conditions and mindsets to confidently move forward into a new era. This requires mobilizing all resources, not only material resources but also intellectual and spiritual resources. The resources within the Vietnamese expatriate community are immense and need to be maximized. Activities connecting expatriates with the homeland will be a catalyst, a powerful impetus for implementing the strategic tasks outlined in Resolution 57 of the Politburo on the development of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation…

Dr. Nguyen Quoc Hung shared that beloved President Ho Chi Minh once advised: unity leads to success, and great unity leads to great success. Overseas Vietnamese firmly believe that under the leadership of the Party, with the strength of national unity, the fighting spirit, hard work, creativity, and the aspiration to contribute of each Vietnamese person, Vietnam and the Vietnamese people will certainly march into a new era, an era of development and prosperity, an era of breakthroughs and national take-off.

Mr. Li Minghan, Hong Kong (China)

Despite being over 80 years old, Mr. Li Minghan in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (China) can still sit for hours enthusiastically recounting the results of his extensive research on the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh, especially his chairmanship of the unification conference and the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam 95 years ago.

Ông Lý Minh Hán, Hong Kong (Trung Quốc)
Mr. Ly Minh Han, advisor to the Nguyen Ai Quoc film crew in Hong Kong (China).

Mr. Li Minghan emphasized that the reason he devoted so much time to collecting and researching the aforementioned content was due to his affection, respect, and admiration for President Ho Chi Minh, the beloved father of the Vietnamese nation and also a great friend of the Chinese people.

Even now, despite his advanced age and declining health, Mr. Ly Minh Han still closely follows the economic and social developments of Vietnam. In particular, on major Vietnamese and Chinese holidays, he often writes poems praising the traditional relationship and friendship between the two countries to share with family and friends.

Mr. Ly Minh Han stated that he has now basically collected all the written documents about all the places and locations that President Ho Chi Minh visited during his arduous journey to find a way to save the country from 1911 to 1941. Furthermore, he has independently researched, compiled, and published a book deciphering the various names and code names used by President Ho Chi Minh during his revolutionary activities and, most recently, as an advisor to the Nguyen Ai Quoc film crew in Hong Kong.

Unable to hide his emotion, Mr. Ly Minh Han said that the results he had achieved throughout more than half his life collecting documents and researching about President Ho Chi Minh and the Communist Party of Vietnam would forever be an invaluable asset and a source of boundless pride for him.

Mr. Tran Van Nam, Chairman of the Khmer-Vietnamese Association in Cambodia (KVA) Preah Sihanouk Province Branch

Now 76 years old and having lived in Cambodia for nearly 40 years, Mr. Tran Van Nam said that overseas Vietnamese like him, although living far from their homeland, always pay close attention to and follow the situation in Vietnam through the media. Thanks to this, he knows that the Communist Party of Vietnam is aggressively intensifying its fight against corruption, as well as its policy of streamlining the government apparatus from the central to local levels.

Expressing his enthusiasm and joy at the recent reforms and changes in the country through many major policies of the Party and State, the Chairman of the KVA branch in Preah Sihanouk province said that if these policies are thoroughly implemented, overseas Vietnamese will wholeheartedly support them. Because, as a son far from home, he desires nothing more than to see Vietnam rise strongly, progressing further and higher.

To achieve this, Mr. Tran Van Nam believes that Vietnam needs to persistently pursue its reform policies, and he expressed his hope that the reform program, streamlining of the administrative apparatus, and the fight against corruption in Vietnam will bring many successes.

Referring to the country's development goals, Mr. Tran Van Nam stated that at present, Vietnam has the "position" and "strength." According to him, the goals set by the Party and the State are entirely within reach when the entire political system makes its utmost effort, along with the support of the people, becoming a great driving force and strength to realize what has been set.

Chairman of the KVA Preah Sihanouk province shared: “As overseas Vietnamese, we are very happy and hopeful that this goal will be achieved so that we can stand on equal footing with the leading advanced countries in the world.” He also expressed his confidence in the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and entrusted his hope that the Party will develop stronger and stronger, leading Vietnam to continue to develop and progress.
