At the Vietnam Business Forum for Sustainable Development (VCSF) 2023 organized by the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD-VCCI) on August 23, Mr. Binu Jacob, General Director of Nestlé Vietnam , co-chair of VCBSD, shared about promoting "dual transformation" in enterprises. Accordingly, innovation and sustainable development need to go hand in hand to achieve business goals while addressing social and environmental issues.

According to Mr. Binu Jacob, to develop sustainably and long-term, businesses not only need to create value for shareholders but also need to create impact for society. Currently, investors are increasingly interested in businesses that operate effectively and have a positive impact on the environment, society and governance, as well as contribute to solving social issues or climate change.

As one of the leading companies in sustainable development, for Nestlé, creating value for society is the driving force of this leading food group. In Vietnam, Nestlé is implementing many sustainable initiatives to create positive impacts on the environment and society, with priorities including: Physical development and nutrition for children, responsible procurement, action against climate change and water resource management, women's empowerment, and sustainable packaging development.

In order to contribute to promoting the physical development movement, encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle in the community, especially children aged 6-17 in particular, Nestlé Vietnam, Nestlé MILO brand, has coordinated with the Ministry of Education and Training , General Department of Sports and Physical Training to implement the program "Dynamic Vietnam".

To fulfill its commitment to sustainable purchasing, Nestlé Vietnam has implemented the Nescafé Plan sustainable coffee cultivation program in the Central Highlands provinces since 2011. The program has supported more than 22,000 farming households to access and practice coffee production according to the 4C criteria, provided training to more than 330,000 farmers, distributed 63.5 million disease-resistant and high-yielding seedlings to help replant old coffee areas...
