Revive historical and religious values
The night tour “Tran Vu Bell” - “Touching the sacred, living with the legend” was just launched on the evening of May 28. The product was developed by the Management Board of the Quan Thanh Temple National Special Relic in collaboration with researchers and travel agencies to practically preserve and promote the value of the relic associated with tourism and economic development of Ba Dinh district.
As a new tourism product with spiritual elements, the night tour "Tran Vu Bell" is held at Quan Thanh Temple, one of the sacred "Thang Long Tu Tran", attracting special attention from tourists.
Inspired by the traditional festival celebrating the day the Saint Huyen Thien Tran Vu descended to bestow blessings, the night tour is not simply a journey to visit relics at night, but also brings profound cultural and artistic experiences, contributing to reviving the historical and religious values of the land of thousands of years of civilization.
During the 45-minute theatrical performance, visitors will experience and learn about traditional folk festivals and intangible cultural values with live performances, reenactments of ancient processions, rituals of offering prayers, plays praising the merits of the Saints, etc.

At the same time, learn about the Truc Bach silk weaving village, the palace maids of the Trinh lords, the Ngu Xa bronze casting craft associated with the national treasure bronze statue Huyen Thien Tran Vu.
In addition to the attractive tour activities, visitors can also experience cultural spaces of tea ceremony, calligraphy, traditional costumes; visit and shop for souvenirs associated with Quan Thanh Temple.
Director of the night tour “Tran Vu Bell” Ninh Quang Truong said that the highlight of this special tour is the ancient stories exploited based on the history of Ba Dinh district and the Quan Thanh temple relic. There are very valuable stories spanning hundreds of years, searched for in historical documents and presented to serve tourists.
Director Ninh Quang Truong expressed his belief that once put into operation, this new tourism product will receive special attention from tourists, especially young people.
According to director Ninh Quang Truong, today's youth always have a need to experience activities that are novel, rich in cultural color and historical depth; however, those activities need to be fun and attractive.

Contribute to enriching the capital's night tourism products
According to Mr. Nguyen Tien Dat, AZA Travel Company, Vice President of Hanoi Tourism Association, Quan Thanh Temple is a long-standing and famous historical relic in Hanoi. Putting into operation night tours here has profound cultural and historical significance and contributes to enriching the night tourism products of the capital.
“The historical story will be recreated more vividly and attractively. The night experience is also more interesting thanks to the cool air, the shimmering, magical scenery under the artistic lighting,” Mr. Dat commented.

Mr. Dat said that the night tour also offers many interactive activities such as viewing paintings, enjoying tea, trying on traditional costumes, of which the highlight is the show “Tran Vu Bell” - a special program, visually demonstrating the cultural and historical values of the temple. With its prime location and attractive content, Mr. Dat believes that this product will attract a large number of domestic and international tourists.
Sharing after experiencing the night tour “Tran Vu Bell”, Mr. Duong Xuan Trang, Product Director of Mai Viet Travel expressed: “I was really moved when participating in the night tour “Tran Vu Bell”. The night space brings a very clear spiritual depth, completely different from visiting during the day. In particular, the performance of the artists of the Vietnam Tuong Theater helped me understand more deeply the mysterious stories associated with Duc Thanh Huyen Thien Tran Vu”.
As a business specializing in bringing foreign tourists to Vietnam, especially those from France, Mr. Duong Xuan Trang believes that the “Tran Vu Bell” night tour needs to have a foreign language so that international tourists can better understand the cultural and spiritual values of Quan Thanh Temple. “If the tour program is introduced and explained in French or English, tourists will find it interesting, understand and feel more deeply the values hidden behind the rituals and symbols associated with the relic,” said Mr. Trang.

Mr. Duong Xuan Trang also hopes that in the future, the Organizing Committee will make adjustments to make the art performance more impressive and profound. "For example, the sound of Tran Vu bell needs to be performed in a very quiet and still space, so that visitors can feel the sound of the bell reverberating far away, enhancing the majesty of the temple," Mr. Duong Xuan Trang said.
The first time participating in a night tour, Le Nguyet Vy (Dan Phuong, Hanoi) expressed: “At first, when I heard about the spiritual tour organized in the evening, I was a bit worried and scared because I had never participated before. But when I joined, I found the tour very attractive. Everything from the light, sound to the spiritual space was taken care of, creating a very different experience compared to regular tours.”
According to Vy, the thing that impressed her most when participating in the night tour “Tran Vu Bell” was the feeling of returning to the past. “In the quiet space, when the bell rang, I suddenly remembered the image of my grandparents in the past, every full moon or Tet holiday, they would wear formal ao dai, bring incense and flowers to the temple to worship the Saint. That feeling came back and made me very emotional,” Vy confided.
On the first day of arriving in Hanoi during her trip to explore Vietnam, Ms. Matiza Moreira (Portuguese nationality) had the opportunity to experience the night tour “Tran Vu Bell”. She shared: “The tour did not have an English commentary so I did not fully understand the content. However, I was very impressed with the peaceful, beautiful and colorful space of the program. The music and the performing costumes of the artists made me extremely excited”.
Ms. Matiza also expressed her intention to spend more time learning more about the cultural and historical values that the tour brings, and at the same time discover more unique cultural features of the country and people of Vietnam.
The Tran Vu Bell Night Tour is a new tourism product, first piloted at the Quan Thanh Temple National Special Monument.
The program lasts 90 minutes and takes place weekly, with each program expected to welcome about 100 participants.
After two days of launching on May 28 and 29, the Tran Vu Bell Night Tour is expected to go into operation, serving tourists in August 2025.
