This year, the Organizing Committee received 128 entries, of which 42 best entries were selected for awards including: 5 First Prizes, 9 Second Prizes, 13 Third Prizes and 15 Encouragement Prizes. The winning entries are all being applied in production, bringing high economic efficiency, contributing to import substitution and creating a technology market serving life.
This time, the Central Power Corporation has 5 projects submitted to the contest and all 5 projects won prizes with 2 Second prizes, 2 Third prizes and 1 Encouragement prize. In which, the Second prize includes: Project to build a tool to integrate data from the EVN PMIS technical management program and automatically draw lines to initialize and edit medium voltage grid data on GIS maps (authors: Truong Tung Chau, Nguyen Dinh Tuan, Pham Ngoc Quang, Ho Quoc Viet, Nguyen Van Minh - Da Nang Electricity One Member Limited Liability Company) and Project to Research, design and manufacture a simulation set of Recloser and LBS stations on the medium voltage grid (authors: Truong Minh Tu, Luong Quoc Trong, Le Tran Hoang Viet, Vo Nhu Vu, Pham Thien - Da Nang Electricity One Member Limited Liability Company).

Third Prize includes: Research project on calculation and analysis of optimal solutions for managing low-voltage grid output current (author group: Le Hong Cuong, Nguyen Dinh Tuan, Vo Van Phuong, Nguyen Van Hieu, Nguyen Cong Minh-Da Nang Electricity One Member Limited Liability Company) and Research project on design and manufacture of switching equipment simulating the distribution grid to serve DMS/DAS function testing (author group: Ho Hy Vinh, Trinh Quoc Chien, Doan Quang Minh, Nguyen Van Vinh, Le Van Ngan-Central Electricity Testing One Member Limited Liability Company; Vo Khac Hoang-EVNCPC Technical Department).
The Encouragement Prize is the research project on building a warning system for power outages at public transformer stations due to circuit breaker tripping via Eoffice chat (author group: Le Hong Cuong, Huynh Thao Nguyen, Phan Quang Tu - Da Nang Electricity One Member Limited Liability Company; Duong Minh Kiet - DLMT Information Technology Company).
The projects and solutions of the Central Power Corporation were highly appreciated by the Jury for their creativity, applicability and practical effectiveness, stemming from actual needs in production and business, contributing to improving labor productivity and quality of professional activities.
With 5 awards won in 2024, to date, individuals and author groups of the Central Power Corporation have won a total of 18 awards at the Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Awards, including: 1 First prize, 6 Second prizes, 9 Third prizes and 2 Encouragement prizes.
The VIFOTEC Award is a prestigious annual award to honor scientists, engineers, and technologists with outstanding scientific and technological works of high socio-economic value and being effectively applied in Vietnam. After 29 times of organization since 1995, there have been 3,252 works participating, of which 1,116 works were awarded, contributing to promoting innovation capacity in the Vietnamese scientific and business community.
