This is the second complex in the CCS-branded Creative Space chain of CMC , following the success of CCS Tan Thuan in Ho Chi Minh City. While CCS Tan Thuan plays the role of a data infrastructure center, CCS Hanoi is oriented to become an open artificial intelligence center (C.OpenAI) - a place that gathers core technologies and plays a core role in CMC's global development strategy in the acceleration phase.
With a total investment of 300 million USD, the complex is built on a land area of over 11,000m², including 23 floors above ground and 3 basements, with a total floor area of over 90,000 m². CCS Hanoi is not only a technology office complex but also a comprehensive integrated ecosystem, including: data center, research and development (R&D) space, human resource training area and creative startup support area - where more than 5,000 technology engineers will work, research and connect together.
According to the design, the center of the entire complex is the CMC Data Center - which provides computing, storage and connection infrastructure for digital platforms being developed in the CMC ecosystem. This is not the first data center of the Group but is where CMC will apply the latest generation of technology Hyperscale DC Uptime tier 3+ standard with AI-supported information technology infrastructure, providing an ecosystem of AI, Cloud, Security, Big Data, next-generation network.
CMC considers this the “digital heart” of CCS Hanoi, where reliability, safety and operational performance are maintained for the entire core technology product and service system. From this data center, other infrastructure layers are developed, operated and integrated: from the leading pure Vietnamese Cloud solution for businesses, to open data serving e-government, finance, education, defense and security. This is the starting point for the entire digital transformation and AI transformation (AI-X) strategy that CMC is steadfastly implementing.
Chairman of CMC Corporation Nguyen Trung Chinh said that the biggest difference of CCS Hanoi is not in the design or height of the building but in the goal it serves: Creating an open, multi-layered creative space - where R&D groups, startups, universities and technology enterprises can interact, share data, develop ideas and commercialize technology products. CMC Technology Corporation is at an important pivotal stage: setting a goal of reaching 1 billion USD in revenue by 2028, 10,000 employees, presence in 30 countries, and an average growth rate of 20%/year. In particular, CCS Hanoi is a core part of the infrastructure serving the Go Global strategy, as well as a space for implementing strategic cooperation with Nvidia, Microsoft, Samsung, Google, AWS... With a strategic vision, CMC Technology Group defines itself as one of the leading large technology enterprises in the country, aiming to be one of the 5 digital technology enterprises on par with advanced countries according to the target by 2030 of Resolution 57-NQ/TW and being one of the 20 large enterprises participating in the global value chain according to Resolution 68-NQ/TW.
Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh appreciated CMC's determination, great efforts, drastic actions, focus, key points, daring to think, daring to do to build this center; highly appreciated Hanoi's support in allocating land funds to private enterprises like CMC to promote growth.
The Prime Minister stated that we must achieve two 100-year development goals, which are the goals of each of us; the Party and the State have determined that each person must strive and strive in the new era - the era of the nation's rise to become rich, strong, civilized, and prosperous. This year, the Party and the State have determined that economic growth must be 8%, and in the following years it must reach double digits. The problem is the solution to achieve this goal.
Accordingly, the Prime Minister called for the efforts of the entire nation, the efforts of everyone, every household; said that in the near future, we will launch a movement to compete for everyone to get rich: rich in knowledge, rich in patriotism, getting rich on the basis of making the most of our resources to enrich our families and the Fatherland. The important thing is that we need to have patriotism, the highest aspiration to contribute to the country and the people, from which we will have resources to protect the Fatherland, independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
The Prime Minister stated that this groundbreaking event comes at a time when the whole country is determined to promote three strategic breakthroughs, including institutional breakthroughs, infrastructure and high-quality human resources to meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable development; meanwhile, Vietnam's logistics costs are still high compared to the world; therefore, infrastructure development will create new spaces, urban areas and service areas. We are also carrying out a revolution in the arrangement and organization of the apparatus; actively and proactively integrating internationally.
The Prime Minister emphasized that currently, the institution is still the "bottleneck of the bottleneck", the laws are overlapping; it is necessary to design monitoring and inspection tools...; if we have tried, we must try harder, if we are determined, we must be even more determined; clearly stating that we must develop human resources to develop the country; improve people's knowledge, train and foster talents; people are the most valuable asset to "turn the situation around, change the state".
The Prime Minister assessed that CMC Corporation's groundbreaking of this project contributes to the implementation of 3 strategic breakthroughs and 4 important Resolutions - "The Four Pillars" of the Politburo that have just been issued; suggested that CMC create an ecosystem that converges the quintessence of culture, knowledge, science and technology, artificial intelligence (AI) of humanity; from here, spreading the culture imbued with national identity, knowledge, wisdom, and values of the Vietnamese people and nation to the world. CMC must have great aspirations, foresight, broad-mindedness, deep thinking, and great actions; must be a pioneer in science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, and private economic development to become the most important driving force of the economy; create motivation and inspiration for businesses, society, educational, training, and research institutions, for the youth, society, and the whole country; this is also a place to support young people with ambitions, dedication, and the desire to serve the country's rapid and sustainable development.
In that spirit, the Prime Minister requested CMC Corporation to do what it said, to do what it committed to, and to deliver results, products that can be "weighed, measured, and counted". It is necessary to raise values and aspirations to a higher level; together with corporations and units, develop into a "Technology Valley" of Vietnam, an open center, spreading values to the world; a place where scientists, engineers, students and entrepreneurs meet, create and contribute together. Link training with research, link research with the market, link businesses with research institutes and schools. Be an open center for the community - a place to spread the spirit of technology entrepreneurship; a place where people, especially the young generation, can access, experience and master technology; at the same time, develop sustainable values in the direction of digitalization, greening, humanization and globalization.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister also requested CMC Corporation to research, build and develop in the CMC Innovation Space Complex a place for disadvantaged people in remote areas to access high technology, participate in research and innovation in digital transformation and artificial intelligence in the spirit of "leaving no one behind". The cooperation of the three parties "Enterprises - Schools - State", contributing to the equal access of all people to education.
The Prime Minister affirmed that the Government always accompanies businesses, considering the work of people and businesses as its own; ministries and branches must consider and handle the recommendations of businesses to promptly remove all difficulties and obstacles.
The Prime Minister suggested that Hanoi continue to help create conditions for businesses, including CMC, to continue to develop so that they can contribute together and demonstrate Vietnamese intelligence everywhere, including Vietnamese people abroad, so that the set goals can be achieved.
The Prime Minister stated that in addition to this center, CMC needs to participate in promoting the country's aspirations and goals; must develop good ideas, boldness in scientific research, organization, implementation, innovation, digital transformation; must be "faster and bolder" in digital transformation; must contribute to the development of digital infrastructure, economy, science and technology, combating climate change...; contribute to building institutions, training human resources; innovate the way of organizing governance, developing the country.
The Prime Minister hopes that the Group will continue to look far and wide, think deeply, do big things, be highly determined, make great efforts, and act decisively, with a focus and key points. The Prime Minister suggested shortening the completion schedule of this project, while ensuring quality and technical and aesthetic requirements.
