Andritz Group promotes hydropower cooperation with Vietnam

Andritz is a global industrial engineering group headquartered in Graz, Styria, Austria. The Group is the world market leader in hydropower equipment with over 185 years of experience in turbines, accounting for over 20% of turbines for hydropower plants worldwide.

Andritz Group has been present in Vietnam for more than 15 years and established a subsidiary in Vietnam in 2016 operating in the field of hydropower, providing more than 110 equipment with a total installed capacity of nearly 3000MW. Some prominent projects are Nhan Hac, Thuong Kon Tum, Pac Ma, Ialy Hydropower expansion, Hoa Binh Hydropower automation upgrade, Thac Ba Hydropower upgrade.

Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang congratulated the Group on its development globally and in Vietnam in particular. The Ambassador said that Vietnam is in a green growth phase and the Vietnamese government is focusing on science and innovation, developing environmentally friendly industrial zones.

Vietnam is transitioning to clean energy and needs green growth solutions not only for large companies but also for small and medium-sized enterprises. Andritz Group wishes to continue to cooperate well with partners in Vietnam and is committed to providing the most advanced modern solutions and technologies for Vietnam's economic development.
