Training on pilot implementation of the system for handling administrative procedures and providing public services at the commune level before operating the 2-level government model

On June 10, 2024, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) organized a training session to pilot the system for handling administrative procedures and providing public services at the commune level before operating the 2-level government model.

Attending the training session were Mr. Nguyen Kim Tung - Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, along with representatives of departments and units under the Department, representatives of leaders and specialists in charge of receiving and handling administrative procedures of Duong No ward, Phu Thuong ward, Phu An commune, Phu My commune, Huong Xuan ward, Huong Chu ward, Huong Toan commune.

The training session aims to introduce an overview of the public service settlement system at the commune and ward levels; guide the operating process in accordance with the 2-level government model; guide the synchronous configuration of system components such as: administrative procedures, processing personnel, settlement process, payment of fees and charges. Delegates are also guided to practice handling the operations of receiving, processing and returning results on the public service system, as well as functions to support citizens and organizations.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Kim Tung - Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology emphasized: The pilot implementation of the system for handling administrative procedures and providing public services at the commune and ward levels is a necessary step to fully prepare in terms of technology, personnel and procedures for the official operation of the 2-level government model. The goal is to modernize the process of handling administrative procedures in a paperless direction, independent of administrative boundaries, towards "digital government service".

At the training session, delegates listened to the reporter present the program content in detail, closely following the implementation practice at the grassroots level. Thereby, helping commune and ward officials have a clearer approach to the new system, master the operating skills and prepare well for the official application phase in the coming time.
