On the morning of November 30, at the headquarters of the Provincial People's Committee, Facility 2 (Tuy Hoa Ward), the Provincial People's Committee held a regular meeting to direct the overcoming of damage caused by storms and floods in the province.

Regarding the work of overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches and localities, especially the localities in the East of the province, to identify this work as the number one priority. At the same time, it is necessary to enhance the sense of responsibility, ensure the work is coordinated effectively, especially in receiving and distributing relief goods to the people. The work of supporting money for affected people must be done immediately, ensuring the right subjects and absolutely not allowing negativity to occur.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to coordinate with departments, branches and localities to deploy the construction and repair of houses for people, ensuring compliance with regulations and must be completed before Lunar New Year.

Regarding the response to storm No. 15, comrade Ta Anh Tuan requested departments, branches and localities not to be negligent or subjective. It is necessary to proactively implement the "4 on-site" plan, early and from afar, regularly update information about the storm; promptly inform ships and boats operating at sea, guide them to avoid the storm safely; at the same time, prepare plans to rescue and evacuate people in dangerous areas.

According to the report of the Provincial Civil Defense Command, the recent flood caused preliminary damage to the entire province at an estimated VND7,120 billion (not including property in people's families). Immediately after the flood receded, the province synchronously deployed remedial solutions with the motto "where the water recedes, there will be remedial measures".

The Provincial Party Committee issued Notice No. 68-TB/TU, assigning the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, members of the Standing Committee and the Executive Committee to directly monitor the locality and direct the response. The Provincial People's Committee established 5 working groups led by provincial leaders to go to the scene to inspect, support people's lives and handle landslides and deep flooding. The local Party Committee and authorities also mobilized local forces to quickly stabilize people's lives.

With the support of the Central Government and other provinces, the province has mobilized more than 20,000 people including military, police, Fatherland Front, organizations, volunteers and hundreds of vehicles to participate in rescue, search, cleanup and overcoming the consequences.

The government supported the province with 650 billion VND and 6,000 tons of rice; the province allocated more than 130 billion VND to localities and implemented a policy to support affected households with 3 million VND/poor household, 1.5 million VND/remaining household, with a total cost of about 500 billion VND.

Nearly 1,900 tons of relief goods, more than 7,750 gifts and nearly VND202 billion from the Provincial Relief Fund have been delivered to people in affected areas. The province has completed the allocation of 4,000 tons of rice to localities and is continuing to provide 2,000 tons of rice in the third phase.

Healthcare , environment, electricity, water, telecommunications and transportation have been basically restored; schools have returned to normal operations.

To stabilize people's lives in the long term, the province has implemented a program to support the repair and construction of more than 12,000 houses, and launched a movement to build 10,000 solid flood-proof houses in areas that are frequently flooded.

At the meeting, departments and branches reported on the situation of overcoming the consequences of floods and solutions to bring life back to normal soon. Localities proposed support for environmental sanitation, disease prevention after floods; support for seeds to restore production; support for repairing traffic infrastructure...

Speaking at the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Cao Thi Hoa An said that recently, the entire political system has focused on overcoming the consequences of natural disasters. Departments, branches and localities need to continue to review and quickly rebuild houses for people, ensuring compliance with the Prime Minister's direction.

At the same time, it is necessary to spread the beautiful images of the forces and people in the work of overcoming the consequences of natural disasters. The Front and organizations must mobilize the maximum force among the people, join hands and unite with the local government to participate in supporting the people.
