With the motto “Bookcase on the shoulder, soldiers overcome thorns to protect the Fatherland”, the brave soldiers of the past carried books as if they were carrying a source of life, knowledge and faith into the battlefield full of bombs and bullets. Wherever they were, they built small bookcases to read, to study, to enrich their souls as a precious spiritual “medicine”. From there, they added will and nurtured the desire to win, regain independence and freedom for the nation.
