On December 8, at Rach Mieu residential area, Phu Nhuan district (HCMC), THACO AUTO participated in the Phu Nhuan District Social Fund raising campaign through the walking program "Accompanying and caring for people in difficult circumstances in 2024". This is the 14th consecutive year that THACO AUTO has accompanied this program.
During 27 years of establishment and development, THACO AUTO has always promoted the spirit of social responsibility, actively participated in activities to support people in difficult circumstances, scholarship programs, education... Typical are the "For the Poor" Fund launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the "Voluntary Blood Donation" program organized by the Group in coordination with the Vietnam Red Cross Society . Promoting that spirit, at the opening ceremony of the program, THACO AUTO donated 500 million VND to support the Phu Nhuan District Social Fund in 2024.
Launched in 2002, the fundraising walk has become a traditional activity with profound meaning, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love, contributing to improving the spiritual and material life of people in Phu Nhuan district. With a total donation of more than 11.6 billion VND, Phu Nhuan District Social Fund will implement programs to build and repair charity houses; award scholarships, health insurance cards; support livelihoods and give gifts to disadvantaged households in the locality.
This year, the walking program attracted more than 4,000 athletes, including more than 60 THACO AUTO Phu Nhuan employees, participating in a 3.2km route, through Hoa Phuong - Truong Sa - Phan Dinh Phung - Phan Dang Luu - Phan Xich Long streets.
As one of the early participants at the event, Mr. Phan Thanh Tung - Marketing Department at THACO AUTO Phu Nhuan shared: “I am very excited to participate in the fundraising walk. This is an opportunity for my colleagues and I to join hands to contribute to the lives of people in difficult circumstances in Phu Nhuan district. I find the program extremely practical and meaningful, hoping that this activity will continue to be maintained so that more units can participate, spreading more widely the spirit of solidarity and joining hands for the community”.
