In early October 2025, the North and Central regions suffered two consecutive major storms (storm No. 10 and storm No. 11) causing serious damage in many localities. In this situation, BIC quickly and promptly deployed professional and social security activities.
Urgent support for customers affected by storms
According to statistics up to October 9, 2025, BIC has recorded a total of 225 losses due to storm No. 10, of which more than 140 are motor vehicle insurance and more than 80 are property-technical insurance. Storm No. 11 alone has caused 151 losses, including 138 are motor vehicle insurance and 13 are property-technical insurance. Losses due to storm No. 11 are still being recorded and processed. The total damage caused by the two storms recorded at BIC up to now has exceeded 100 billion VND.

Immediately after the storms, BIC activated emergency response plans, mobilizing staff from units to quickly approach the scene to support customers. With a high sense of responsibility and proactive service, BIC staff coordinated with customers and authorities to record losses, collect documents, conduct initial assessments and guide customers to complete compensation procedures.

BIC also prioritizes handling serious losses, especially those affecting production and business activities and people's lives. Along with that, communication and insurance policy consulting activities are promoted, helping customers understand their rights and loss handling procedures.

BIC's timely and dedicated intervention not only helps customers minimize damage, but also affirms the role of insurance as a solid financial support in the journey of recovery from risks.
Launching a program to support people in flood-affected areas
In parallel with the assessment and compensation work, BIC has launched a program to support people affected by storms No. 10 and No. 11. Accordingly, BIC has called on all officers and employees to donate at least one day's salary to join hands to support people in disaster areas.
BIC also mobilized staff throughout the system to participate in supporting through the account of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, to ensure that relief resources are transferred to the right address, promptly and transparently.

In particular, in the face of the emergency situation in Thai Nguyen - one of the localities that suffered heavy damage after storm No. 11 - BIC Headquarters quickly mobilized specialized vehicles, including rescue boats, to access isolated areas, support people to move and transport necessities. BIC staff closely coordinated with local authorities to deploy emergency relief, support the evacuation of affected people and staff, and give hundreds of practical gifts including drinking water, food and daily necessities.
These practical actions once again affirm BIC's spirit of social responsibility, humanity and commitment to accompany the community - not only in the role of insurance, but also as a trusted friend in the most difficult times.
