Visit Huynh's memorial house

Hidden in the canopy of trees, with a three-room, two-wing wooden house and a stone alley, Huynh Thuc Khang Memorial House (Thanh Binh village, Tien Canh commune, Tien Phuoc district, Quang Nam province) is a destination and return destination for many tourists when they set foot in Tien Phuoc. More than just a tourist attraction, this is also a cultural space, where images and precious artifacts about the life and career of patriot Huynh Thuc Khang are preserved.

Every time I come to this place, in the peaceful and sacred atmosphere, I hear the echoes of time. Rain and sunshine pass by here. The four seasons pass by here. That tea shop, this stone alley, since the last century, has been the home of a man rich in talent, personality and bright spirit. In the days of April, remembering him, I hear the echoes of verses burning with aspiration: "Must take careof educating talented people/Form the character to open the motto".

The far-sighted vision of one of the leaders of the Duy Tan movement in the last century remains intact today. Because, in any era, talent is the vital energy of a nation. Talented and virtuous people always play a particularly important role in the destiny of the nation. Huynh's verse is like a guiding principle when education becomes the top national policy, when culture, science and the intellectual team are playing an extremely important role in the cause of national construction.

“Must worry”, two simple words full of concern but also full of expectation and enthusiasm for innovation. That is also the love of country and people, the high sense of responsibility for life of a person “very well-educated, very strong-willed, very moral”. The resource is talent, only then will there be qualifications, only then will there be “opening” thoughts to guide appropriate and correct actions, to contribute to the prosperity of the country.

With the same idealistic aspiration, in “The Farewell Song”, Mr. Huynh wrote: “Hey An Mountain, there Da River/ Those mountains and rivers are still waiting for me to weave”. When saying goodbye to his comrades to go to Con Dao, his heroic spirit was truly admirable. “Hey An Mountain, there Da River” - The verse is full of love, pride and loyalty to the homeland of Quang. The word “I” resounds with dignity, steadfastness, soaring with the heroic spirit of a scholar, even though he is facing “difficult times”. The man - the lyrical character in this famous song always firmly believes that one day he will return to “weave” the beautiful mountains and rivers again.

The work “Farewell Song” also shows Mr. Huynh’s clear-sighted and calm perspective when looking at the times: “The moon in the sky is sometimes full, sometimes waning/ People in life cannot avoid hardships”. Therefore, in any situation, the patriot remains steadfast and indomitable. What can we, the people of this era, learn from the spirit of “A great man is at peace with himself/ He who endures adversity acts on adversity”? Being proactive in all situations, having a steadfast spirit in the face of challenges “at peace with himself” to master our lives, for a meaningful life?

In April, I remember Mr. Minh Vien with nostalgia. I love that nickname so much. Because it is the origin of the homeland, the love and the spirit of the patriot Huynh Thuc Khang, who is full of the wind of the times. Coming to Mr. Huynh's memorial house, I have the feeling that "He is still here, in the wind of the fields...". I would like to light a stick of incense for this outstanding son of the country.
