Review and unify the contents presented at the 19th Session on urban areas

The Urban Committee of the City People's Council met to review the contents presented at the 19th Session of the City People's Council, term X, 2021 - 2026.

The meeting focused on discussing, commenting and unanimously approving the reports of the City People's Committee on urban areas, including: the situation of establishing urban development areas in the city for the period 2023-2030; the implementation of Decision No. 1099/QD-UBND dated April 2, 2021 on promulgating the Project "Building Da Nang - Environmental City for the period 2021-2030"; the selection of a number of areas with suitable areas in the city center to prioritize mobilizing and calling for investment resources; the implementation of major projects according to the content of Resolution No. 25/NQ-HDNMD dated August 12, 2021 of the City People's Council.

The meeting also gave opinions and approved the City People's Committee's proposal on approving the policy of changing the purpose of forest use to other purposes of the Truoc Dong Lake Ecological Villa Project; the proposal and draft Resolution of the City People's Council on the proposal to approve the List of works and projects to change the purpose of rice-growing land, protective forest land and special-use forest land in 2024; the proposal and draft Resolution of the City People's Council on approving the List of works and projects requiring additional land recovery in 2024.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Council Tran Phuoc Son gave a speech directing the meeting.

Regarding the inspection report of the Urban Committee of the City People's Council on the implementation of the socio -economic, defense and security plan of Da Nang city in the first 6 months of 2024 and the direction and tasks for the last 6 months of 2024, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Council Tran Phuoc Son requested that, in addition to the growth and contribution of the tourism industry, it is necessary to analyze and clearly evaluate the increase in the contribution ratio of the construction industry, because this is a factor that creates the sustainability of the economy.

“In addition to the factor of public investment disbursement and contribution to growth, the construction industry also plays an important role in attracting social investment from businesses and people,” the Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Council emphasized.

Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Council Tran Phuoc Son also reminded the Urban Committee about the contents related to environmental and waste treatment at Khanh Son landfill; industrial clusters and industrial zones; focusing on investment in urgent projects to handle flooding before the rainy season comes.
