Quang Hanh Coal focuses on doing a good job in social security work.

Along with regular attention to employment and good implementation of policies for employees, in recent years, social security work in the locality has always been actively implemented by Quang Hanh Coal Company - TKV.

From the project to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the province's founding…

The road from National Highway 18 leading to Nga Hai Quang Hanh mine before there was a lighting system, the steep and winding road was a road serving both production and the local people. When it was dark, the road posed a potential safety risk for people and vehicles passing by.

To overcome that situation, on April 16, 2023, the Party Committee of Quang Hanh Coal Company - TKV invested in and inaugurated the project "Road lighting system, from National Highway 18A to the center of Nga Hai mine". The mine road lighting project is 5.8km long, including 114 lighting bulbs. Putting the project into operation has practically contributed to making the traffic process of cadres, workers, and laborers in the Company and some units in TKV, as well as people in Khe Sim village, Duong Huy commune more convenient and safer.

This is also a meaningful project to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Company's founding (May 1, 2003 - May 1, 2023) and the 60th anniversary of the founding of Quang Ninh province (October 30, 1963 - October 30, 2023). The project's operation also aims to implement the new rural construction coordination program between Quang Hanh Coal Company and Duong Huy commune, helping miners and people of Duong Huy commune feel secure in their work and life.

This is not the first activity of Quang Hanh Coal Company to accompany, join hands, support social security activities, actively contributing to the local socio -economic development. Previously, from 2017-2018, the Company coordinated with Cam Pha city to implement the project to relocate 92 households in Khe Sim village, Duong Huy commune, out of the dangerous landslide and flood area. The total cost of relocation is nearly 150 billion VND.

The lighting system helps workers and people move conveniently and safely at night.

Along with that, implementing the annual coordination program, the twinning program in the cluster area between Quang Hanh Coal Company and Khe Sim village, the two sides have coordinated to manage the boundary, ensure security and order, protect the environment in the Nga Hai Mine Center area; regularly clear mud from the road surface, sidewalks, and ditches on residential roads in the area; regularly dredge and clear streams, install drainage culverts as requested by households in the village.

Over the years, the Company has supported the provision of clean water for daily life to the villagers, invested in a misting system to suppress dust to reduce and limit dust generated from vehicles transporting coal of units in the area. Especially, during the rainy season, the Company ensures the circulation of streams, limits the impact of flooding, mud, and eliminates risks that cause insecurity for the villagers.

… to responsible and meaningful activities

With more than 3,000 employees, Quang Hanh Coal always identifies employees as the "valuable asset" that determines the sustainable development of the enterprise. Therefore, over the years, the Company has focused on caring for and paying attention to the material and spiritual life of employees. In particular, the team of miners has received special attention from the Company with many practical solutions, from improving working conditions, increasing income to investing in building cultural institutions, supporting the construction of housing for employees.

Quang Hanh Coal Company's workers' dormitory is one of the most beautiful dormitories in the coal industry.

The company has invested in many modern devices to help reduce the labor force of workers such as: winches to support pedestrians, infinite winches to transport people to help shorten travel time, increase useful working time, increase labor productivity and more importantly, minimize work accidents. The company also invested in synchronous safety equipment to prevent gas and water leaks, mine explosion safety equipment, automatic methane gas monitoring system, 24/24 gas control at the workplace; automatic monitoring system for people entering and leaving the mine, centralized production command system via internet-connected screen to improve safety in production and reduce environmental pollution.

In order to improve the lives of workers, Quang Hanh Coal Company implements a housing development program for workers in the Km9 area with a spacious and modern workers' dormitory, meeting the needs of workers. Every year, the Trade Union and professional units invite doctors and rent modern medical equipment to conduct periodic health check-ups for workers every 6 months or by topic.

Quang Hanh Coal Company supports funding and manpower to pour concrete for the cultural house yard of Trai Cao village, Dam Ha commune, Dam Ha district.

The company is constantly upgrading its facilities to provide the best care for workers in the workers' dormitory, such as investing in modern massage machines and having a free hair cutting room. During the 2023 Trade Union Tet Market event organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in coordination with the Vietnam Coal and Minerals Trade Union at 12/11 Square (Cam Pha city), Quang Hanh Coal Company organized a free hair cutting booth for people and miners in Cam Pha.

Quang Hanh Coal Company Youth Union provided financial support to repair houses for former youth volunteers in Quang Thanh commune (Hai Ha).

Fully aware of the responsibility of a coal mining enterprise in Quang Ninh province, over the years, Quang Hanh Coal Company has continuously paid attention to and carried out many meaningful tasks, carrying the responsibility and affection of coal miners.

Specifically, in the face of difficulties in the consumption of agricultural products in Quang Ninh province, the Company has increased the purchase of grouper with a volume of nearly 8.7 tons, the support value of up to more than 200 million VND. The Company's Youth Union has also participated in many activities bearing the mark of the youth of the Coal industry such as: Supporting the new rural construction program by supporting 20 million VND to pour concrete in the yard of the cultural house in Dam Ha commune, Dam Ha district; supporting 20 million VND to repair houses for former youth volunteers in Quang Thanh commune, Hai Ha district; supporting and supporting in kind including: warm blankets, warm clothes and essential items for people in Hai Ha, Dam Ha, Binh Lieu districts...

In the coming time, Quang Hanh Coal Company will continue to accompany localities in the province to join hands and contribute more to support social security activities, actively contributing to local socio-economic development.
