Than Vo Vietnam 2025 closed its first event with 9 eye-catching matches

The highlight of last night's GMA 04 event was the debut of 8 fighters competing in the Duong Lang (53kg) category and the fight between two veteran fighters with a very flamboyant fighting style: Tran Minh Nhut of Lien Phong Martial Arts School and Tran Trong Kim of PFC Phu Quoc.

Before that, 8 "warming" matches opened the event with famous martial artists in the contemporary Vietnamese martial arts community such as Le Hoang Duc, Phan Trong Hieu, Huynh Quang Thien, Bui Xuan Nguyen... The results after each match were honored by the electronic board with the names of the most deserving martial artists.

Specifically in the Duong Lang category, Truong Quang Kiet of PFC Phu Quoc could not overcome Huynh Quang Thien of Tanmonster Combat; Nguyen Huu Nghia of team 404 lost to Bui Xuan Nguyen of Lien Phong Martial Arts School after 3 difficult rounds; Dang Quoc Quang of No.1 Muay lost to Submission when fighting Phan Ngoc Hieu of Ha Dong MMA; Le Hoang Duc of team 404 also lost to Luong Trong Nghia of MMA Saigon in the first round.

In the remaining matches, No.1 Muay's Cobra (55kg) Pham Thanh Phong lost to Dat Cang Tiger's Pham Van Hao by a technical choke; VCT Fight's Black Panther (63kg) Vo Cao Tung was also defeated by Pham Kim Quoc Huy Fighter MMA Da Nang with a TKO in the 23rd second of round 1; Nam An MMA's Golden Rooster (57kg) Ly Duol could only last 1 minute after an Armbar from K-pa Thuan from SSC Club; Leo Jiujitsu's Manh Ho (68kg) Pham Anh Duc had a sweet revenge against Tiger MMA's Vu Hai with a submission in 1 minute 45 seconds in round 1.

Impressive wins close out the first event in the GMA 2025 series

The 9th match and the highlight of the event to close GMA 04 was the victory by standard rear-naked choke of Tran Minh Nhut (Lien Phong Martial Arts School) over Tran Trong Kim (PFC Phu Quoc).

Immediately after the end of the first event of the GMA 2025 event series, the tournament organizers quickly held meetings to review the event as well as look forward to GMA 05 - International Martial Arts named Chien Binh Hoi Tu which will take place just one week later (May 24).

This event marked the first milestone in the history of Vietnamese martial arts, when a professional MMA tournament was held in Vietnam, gathering many international fighters from countries in the Southeast Asian region.

GMA 2025 is not only a sports playground, with the mission of being considered a bridge for cultural and martial arts exchange between countries in the region. This is where martial artists not only demonstrate their skills but also spread the spirit of solidarity and learn from each other.
