Establishment of the Steering Committee for administrative merger of Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang provinces

BHG - Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee has just issued Decision No. 01-QD/TU dated April 14, 2025 on the establishment of the Steering Committee for administrative consolidation of Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang provinces.

The Standing Committee of Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee and Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee decided to establish a Steering Committee for the merger of administrative units of Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang provinces, including two Heads of the Steering Committee: Comrade Ha Thi Nga, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the 15th term of Tuyen Quang province; Comrade Hau A Lenh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee.

The 18 Deputy Heads of the Committee are the Standing Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee; Deputy Secretaries, Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee; Members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; Members of the Provincial Party Committees of the two provinces of Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang.

The Board will be responsible for developing a project to arrange and merge two administrative units; preparing human resources, facilities, and other related conditions.

Coordinate with the Board, Ministries, branches and relevant agencies in developing the Project to merge administrative units of Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang provinces.

According to the Decision, the two provinces agreed to establish 5 Working Groups to assist the Steering Committee to advise on the construction of the Project to merge administrative units of the two provinces of Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang; arrange Party agencies, Party Committees of provincial Party agencies; advise the Steering Committee on financial matters, logistics, technology, propaganda work, and ensuring security and national defense.

During the implementation process, when there are new policies from the Central Government or it is necessary to change or supplement the personnel and tasks of the Steering Committee, the Working Group will assign the Organizing Committee of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee to preside over and coordinate with the Organizing Committee of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee and relevant agencies and units to advise the Steering Committee to make timely adjustments and supplements.
