The issue of 10th grade entrance exam scores for public high schools in Thai Binh in 2024-2025 is receiving mixed opinions from the public. After receiving a petition from citizens, the People's Committee of Thai Binh province directed the provincial inspectorate to conduct a surprise inspection of the Thai Binh Department of Education and Training.

After the inspection process, the Thai Binh Provincial Inspectorate concluded the inspection of the content of "Recalling the essay test" at the 10th grade entrance exam in the 2024-2025 school year in Thai Binh province during the inspection of "Implementation of policies, laws, tasks and powers assigned to the Department of Education and Training, Director of the Department of Education and Training and related organizations and individuals in organizing the above entrance exam in Thai Binh.

The Thai Binh Department of Education and Training announced the admission of 16,285 candidates.

Through checking and verifying the implementation of "Recalling essay exams", it shows that the total number of essay exams is 42,105 exams (20,504 general Math exams, 20,502 general Literature exams, 1,099 specialized subjects exams).

The Head of the Exam Steering Committee directed Mr. Giang Hai Trieu - a specialist of the Quality Management Department, a member of the Secretariat to randomly print 302/42,105 exam papers for the Secretariat to manually match the scores; the number of exam papers checked for manual matching was only 0.71%, not ensuring at least 20% of the essay exams as prescribed.

Of which, 237 candidates in the Admission Councils of General High Schools, 15 candidates in the Admission Council of Specialized High Schools changed from not being admitted to being admitted to their first choice; 15 candidates in the Admission Council of Specialized High Schools and 243 candidates in the Admission Councils of General High Schools changed from being admitted to not being admitted to their first choice.

At the "Returning essay test results" stage, the inspection agency determines the responsibility of civil servants and public employees of the Secretariat in performing assigned tasks and powers.

As for the Director of the Department of Education and Training, Nguyen Viet Hien, he is responsible for his role as the head of the Department and Head of the Steering Committee for the 10th grade entrance exam.
