The Farm Camp, nurturing life skills and sharing spirit

The Farm Camp is a project founded in 2024 by Nguyen Anh Minh, a former student of Math 1, K31 and students of Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted. Together, they created a space where children can play, learn new things and truly immerse themselves in farm life.

Following the success of the 2024 summer camp, The Farm Camp 2025 was held at Edufarm Tuong Son with the participation of nearly 40 young campers and more than 50 members of the Organizing Committee - former students of Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted. With the sense of responsibility and creativity of the young people, the summer camp was organized for students aged 8 to 12 to help them have an interesting and rewarding summer vacation.

Talking about the significance of the summer camp, Bui Ha Vy, Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of The Farm Camp 2025 said: “We have learned many valuable lessons and experiences in organizing summer camps, how to operate an organization, and how to behave, manage, and care for children… These will be very valuable provisions for us in life.”

The summer camp program is designed for 4 days with 4 outstanding themes including: "Green experience" - explore nature, learn how to live green and understand more about the surrounding environment; "Seeds of craft villages" - help children have a love for folk culture through learning and directly experiencing traditional craft villages; "Master chef" - demonstrate cooking talent, practice independence and teamwork ability; "Olympics" - practice physical fitness, fair competition spirit and collective awareness through attractive physical games.

The leadership of the students in the Organizing Committee created a close, exciting and energetic atmosphere for the children's summer camp activities, helping them to foster a love for nature and cultivate many other soft skills.

Talking about the summer camp activities organized by the students, Ms. Vo Thi Luong - Deputy Director of Edufarm Tuong Son Center said: "Summer camp is a very meaningful and practical activity, creating opportunities for children to develop comprehensively. As a coordinating unit, we ensure the facilities and content so that the students can organize activities safely and effectively."

To create a meaningful summer activity model for middle school students, the summer camp organizers have had a thorough preparation process. With new ideas combined with serious and professional work, these are the factors that help these friends have a successful summer camp model, receiving the attention and response of parents as well as students. Thereby, the summer camp is not only an extracurricular project, but also a journey of maturity, where young people dare to step out of their comfort zone, having many new experiences.

Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Binh (Thanh Sen Ward) said: “Participating in the summer camp, I saw that my child has changed, knows how to care and share with people around him and has confidence in communication. I was also very touched when the organizing committee members were students from Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted. They were very enthusiastic and organized the summer camp professionally.”

Summer camp organizers guide children to play games

The Farm Camp 2025 ended with great success, with the children's nostalgia and the recognition of parents whose children participated right on the gala night. That shows that more than just a summer camp, this is a place where dreams are nurtured, friendships are bonded and life skills are honed.

It was the students of Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted who created a useful playground during the summer days, leaving unforgettable impressions in the hearts of each camper and parent.
