The company committed two environmental violations: not having an environmental license as prescribed under the licensing authority of the provincial People's Committee; not properly implementing the content of the decision approving the results of the environmental impact assessment report appraisal as prescribed (installing an additional chemical mixing tank exhaust gas treatment system, 6 printer exhaust gas treatment systems, changing the 10-ton/hour boiler to a 4 million Kcal/hour heating furnace but not reporting to the agency approving the results of the environmental impact assessment report appraisal).

Decision No. 1254/QD-XPHC on administrative sanctions in the field of environmental protection against Meubles Demeyere Vietnam Co., Ltd., at Ho Nai Industrial Park, Trang Bom District.

The company did not have an environmental license under the licensing authority of the Provincial People's Committee. For this act, the company was administratively fined 320 million VND.

Decision No. 1269/QD-XPHC on administrative sanctions in the environmental field against Metallurgical Engineering Joint Stock Company, located in Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park, Bien Hoa city.

The company did not have an environmental license under the licensing authority of the Provincial People's Committee. For this act, the company was administratively fined 310 million VND. In addition, the company was subject to an additional penalty of suspending the operation of the source of waste without an environmental license for 3.75 months; the remedial measure is to force the relocation of the facility to a location in accordance with the planning, environmental zoning, and environmental carrying capacity approved by the competent authority, with a completion deadline of December 1, 2025.

The Law on Environmental Protection 2020 and its guiding decrees stipulate that from January 1, 2025, operating facilities and projects must have an environmental license issued by a competent authority ( Ministry of Agriculture and Environment , Provincial People's Committee or District People's Committee, depending on the project's decentralization). In case of not having an environmental license, administrative violations will be sanctioned, additional sanctions will be imposed, and the consequences will be remedied.
