According to statistics of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education, the total revenue of the school in 2024 is 1,120 billion. The school has 3 sources of revenue including: Revenue from training activities, of which tuition is 976 billion VND, funding from the budget and outside is only 13 billion; Revenue from science and technology transfer is 46 billion; Revenue from other sources is 67 billion.
This school also spent 976 billion. Of which, 467 billion was spent on salaries and income of lecturers and staff; 369 billion on facilities and services; 71 billion on student support and 14 billion on other expenses.

Currently in Vietnam there are 12 universities with revenue of thousands of billions of VND, including 8 public schools and 4 private schools.
8 public schools include: Hanoi University of Science and Technology, National Economics University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, Ton Duc Thang University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education.
4 private schools with revenue of thousands of billions of VND include:FPT University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Van Lang University.
Schools' revenue comes mainly from tuition fees, while scientific research and technology transfer are very limited.
