Before filling out the official registration form, candidates must carefully read the sections and instructions for filling out the form. Candidates are fully responsible for the information provided in the registration form.
How to choose a test/component subject: Candidates who register for a test/component subject should mark (X) in the corresponding test/component subject box.
For candidates who wish to be exempted from the Foreign Language exam, they must clearly state the type of certificate that qualifies for exemption or that they are a member of the national team participating in the International Foreign Language Olympiad according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. For the type of certificate that includes the exam score (total exam score), candidates must write the score in the "Exam Score" box.
In case of registration for exemption from the Foreign Language exam in the consideration of high school graduation recognition or registration for admission: Candidates must write down the type of foreign language certificate that meets the requirements according to regulations or clearly state that they are a member of the national team participating in the International Olympic competition in Foreign Languages to be exempted from the exam.
Candidates who took the high school exam last year, if there are exams/subjects that are eligible for retention according to regulations, candidates who want to retain the scores of an exam/subject, should write the scores of that exam/subject in the corresponding box.
For the combined exam, candidates are allowed to reserve the results of each component exam if they meet the conditions. To reserve the total score of a combined exam, candidates must record the scores of all the component exams of that combined exam.
When registering for the exam, the Ministry of Education and Training notes that the candidate's photo on the system must have a minimum resolution of 400x600 pixels, be taken in ID-style, and no more than 6 months before the application submission date.
During the registration period, candidates wishing to apply for university or college admission must declare on the software complete and correct information with evidence to enjoy priority in admission according to regulations.
Special exam with two papers
The 2025 high school graduation exam is a special exam because this is the first year that candidates will take the exam according to the 2018 General Education Program, completely innovating teaching and assessment methods.
This is also an exam organized with 2 exam questions for two groups of candidates: Candidates studying the 2018 General Education Program and candidates studying the 2006 General Education Program.
Candidates studying the 2018 General Education Program will take the exam according to a new plan, reducing the number of subjects and exam sessions. Each candidate will only take 4 exams including: Math, Literature and 2 elective subjects to consider graduation and get the results of admission to universities.
Candidates taking the old program still take the following exams: Math, Literature, Foreign Language and one of two exams: Natural Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) or Social Sciences (History, Geography, CivicEducation ).
The 2025 High School Graduation Exam will be held simultaneously in all provinces and cities nationwide from June 26-27.
At this time, the Ministry of Education and Training has provided training on exam regulations and exam organization techniques to the Departments of Education and Training.
