Tay Son town completes criteria for building civilized urban areas

On the morning of May 13, the Council for Appraisal and Recognition of Civilized Urban Areas of Huong Son district held a vote to recognize Tay Son town as meeting civilized urban standards in 2024.

Members of the Council for Appraisal and Recognition of Civilized Urban Areas of Huong Son District participated in voting to recognize Tay Son town as meeting civilized urban standards.

Up to now, Tay Son town has achieved 9/9 criteria for building a civilized urban area according to Decision No. 04/QD-TTg dated February 18, 2022 of the Prime Minister.

Some outstanding criteria are: urban traffic with 100% of the roads in the town paved with asphalt or concrete according to the plan; the asphalt rate of the road surface is over 80%. The whole town has 10/10 streets 15 km long, 20 alleys 12 km long that have been named and recognized as civilized streets; there are sidewalks, lighting, trees, and shade trees.

Regarding the criteria of urban security and order, there were no acts of sabotage against key targets and projects in the area; political security was stable, social order and safety were controlled; 22 major roads in the area were installed with security cameras.

Cao Thang route (TDP 5, Tay Son town) has just been completed and put into use.

Regarding the criteria of employment and average income of poor households, up to now, 100% of the working-age population in the area has jobs. The average income per capita in 2024 of the town is 64.57 million VND (the district is 52 million VND). At the end of 2024, the whole town still has 18 poor households (the multidimensional poverty rate is 1.55%), lower than the average of the district...

Over the past years, the total mobilized and invested capital for building a civilized urban area in Tay Son town is 44.77 billion VND.

Huong Son District Appraisal Council reviewed and evaluated environmental criteria at Residential Area 6, Tay Son Town.

From the above results, 100% of members of the Appraisal Council for consideration and recognition of civilized urban areas of Huong Son district agreed to recognize Tay Son town as meeting civilized urban standards in 2024.
