Improving the capacity of applying artificial intelligence, e-commerce and export support for cooperatives

Participating in the training, delegates listened to reports on 3 topics including: Introduction and instructions on using Artificial Intelligence (AI), especially ChatGPT - a smart and effective tool to increase productivity and creativity in operations, management and product marketing; application of e-commerce and e-trading platforms in product consumption to help cooperatives and business households reach customers quickly, save costs, and expand markets; introduction of channels and solutions to support financial export of agricultural products - opening new doors for Soc Trang goods to reach further, affirming the position of Vietnamese agricultural products in the international market.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Pham Chi Nguyen - Chairman of the Soc Trang Provincial Cooperative Union said that Soc Trang currently has more than 200 agricultural cooperatives in operation. This is the core force in developing the collective economy , contributing to improving farmers' lives, building new rural areas and preserving local agricultural identity. However, most of the cooperatives are only operating at a fairly average level, a large number are still confused in management, lack market orientation and are slow to adapt to technology. Therefore, the training program creates conditions for trainees to update and share useful knowledge on the application of artificial intelligence in agricultural management and production, skills and tools for implementing e-commerce in agricultural product consumption, and methods of approaching export markets. At the same time, share the difficulties and obstacles in the operation of cooperatives so that experts can find solutions to overcome them.

At the conference, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the following units: Soc Trang Province Cooperative Alliance and the Center for Research and Application of Commerce and Digital (CADE); Felix.store E-commerce Platform and 5 pioneering cooperatives opening booths on Felix.store Agricultural Products Trading Platform; VAT Corporation and 5 pioneering cooperatives registering to export key agricultural products through VAT Corporation.
