Creating momentum from stability to real change

By the end of April, the district had achieved 100% of 5/21 main targets, and 5 targets were over 50%. In addition, in the agricultural sector, which is the local strength, Thanh Tri maintained stability when no dangerous diseases occurred in crops or livestock. Although the price of winter-spring rice decreased slightly, affecting farmers' income, industry and handicrafts recorded growth, reflecting the economic restructuring in the right direction.

Furthermore, the district also ensures construction progress and public investment disbursement - this clearly demonstrates the capacity to manage and operate infrastructure. At the same time, culture and society continue to be focused on with many appropriate cultural and artistic activities and mass movements, spreading positive spirit in the community. Health and education work is maintained stably. In particular, the epidemic situation such as dengue fever, hand - foot - mouth disease tends to decrease - the result of synchronous participation from the grassroots.

In addition to the above successes, social security policies have also been fully implemented, to the right target, and in a timely manner, especially during traditional holidays and Tet of the Khmer people such as Chol Chnam Thmay. The Army-Civilian Tet event held in Tuan Tuc commune has become a highlight of military-civilian solidarity, creating trust and cohesion between the government and the people.

Another notable highlight is the implementation of the Government's Project 06. Specifically, the district has focused on implementing this project and selected Thanh Tri commune as a key area in transforming complex areas in terms of social order and safety. This is a strategic step towards digital government, improving the efficiency of serving the people.

At the April review conference and the May 2025 orientation, Chairman of the District People's Committee Le Thanh Chuc emphasized: “The district identifies May as an important period to create momentum for a breakthrough in the second quarter; focus on directing the disbursement of public investment capital, effectively implementing the Project "Sustainable development of one million hectares of high-quality and low-emission rice cultivation associated with green growth in the Mekong Delta by 2030", accelerating the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. At the same time, step up propaganda work on summer disease prevention and control, ensuring that the national high school exam takes place safely and seriously". Comrade Le Thanh Chuc also noted: "Each locality and unit must clearly define responsibilities, resolutely not allowing stagnation. Sustainable development must start from an effective and efficient administration, taking people's satisfaction as the center".

However, the district also frankly acknowledged some problems such as: unstable agricultural product prices, slow progress in removing temporary houses in some places, and potential security and order risks when theft and illegal drug use still occur.

From a stable foundation, Thanh Tri is gradually affirming its determination to create substantial and sustainable changes. With the spirit of decisive action, the responsibility of the leader associated with practical effectiveness, and the consensus of the people, the district has every reason to expect many clear development marks in 2025.
