Identifying education and training development as a key and regular task, in recent times, the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri town has focused on directing and synchronously implementing solutions to improve the quality of comprehensive education at all levels.

Right from the beginning of each school year, the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri town has directed schools to proactively develop and implement school year themes suitable to the actual situation, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere and spreading positivity throughout the industry.

At the same time, direct schools to focus on innovating teaching methods in the direction of focusing on quality and effectiveness of education, promoting the application of information technology in teaching and management; effectively building a safe, friendly and equal educational environment; focusing on solutions for educating ideology, ethics, lifestyle, life skills, and behavioral culture in schools; organizing many practical activities and playgrounds, attracting the participation of students and the support of parents; building a model of "Civilized school, friendly students, no social evils" in educational institutions.

In addition, to contribute to improving the quality of education according to the orientation of the 2018 General Education Program, the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri town has implemented STEM education activities into the education program in 100% of primary and secondary schools in the area and brought about practical results, contributing to changing traditional, passive teaching methods, opening up new opportunities to encourage creativity, applying knowledge synthesis, self-study, and self-research of students. Thereby, helping students develop and improve their capacity and qualities, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation.

The Town Department of Education and Training also focuses on reviewing the planning and rearranging the scale and network of educational institutions; continuing to innovate the organization and management system, improving the quality and efficiency of public service units; maintaining a stable network of schools and classes; improving the quality of teachers and educational managers; properly implementing regulations on educational quality assessment and building national standards. Strengthening digital transformation and application of information technology in teaching, learning and educational management. Strengthening facilities to ensure the quality of educational activities.

Thanks to the active implementation of many solutions, education and training work in the town has been innovated and its quality has been increasingly improved.

Currently, there are 15 schools in the town. The team of teachers and managers in the whole sector always uphold the role of responsibility, creativity, promote working capacity; actively apply IT in management, teaching and learning; innovate teaching methods, testing and evaluation; constantly study to improve political theory, professional capacity and expertise. 100% of teachers meet professional standards or higher, meeting the requirements of fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training.

Facilities and teaching equipment have been gradually improved, basically meeting the needs of the industry. Quang Tri town has been the leading unit in the province for many years in terms of the rate of public schools meeting national standards. Currently, 12/12 public schools meet national standards, of which 4 schools meet national standards level 2.

The comprehensive quality of education at all levels is maintained and improved. The key quality continues to achieve good results, many targets are achieved and exceeded the set plan. The rate of mobilizing children to go to school is higher than the average level of the whole province; the rate of completing the preschool education program, completing the primary education program, and graduating from secondary school is 100%; the comprehensive quality of education of students in grades 6, 7, 8, and 9 is ranked among the top in the province; the rate of grade 9 students achieving provincial-level excellent students is always ranked among the top in the province.

The quality of universal education and illiteracy eradication is firmly maintained. Quang Tri town is recognized as meeting the standards of universal education for 5-year-old children, universal primary education and universal secondary education at level 3, and illiteracy eradication at level 2; 5/5 wards and communes are recognized as meeting the standards of universal secondary education.

With the focus on synchronous implementation of solutions to improve the quality of comprehensive education, in the 2023-2024 school year, the Department of Education and Training of the town is one of three units that was comprehensively commended by the Director of the Department of Education and Training in the emulation movement "Innovation and creativity in management, teaching and learning"; many collectives, cadres, teachers and students have been commended at all levels in the emulation movement of good teaching and good learning. These are proud achievements, affirming the quality of education and training and becoming the driving force, belief and determination for the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri town to continue to reap success in the 2024-2025 school year and the following school years.
