The end of the year is the 'golden' time for consumer stimulus activities; contributing to the yearly economic growth target through promotional programs to attract consumers.

Ms. Nguyen Kieu Oanh, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, shared that currently, Hanoi city is promoting promotional programs with the desire to bring the capital's residents and domestic and foreign tourists many opportunities to experience shopping for quality and suitable goods. " The concentrated promotional programs of Hanoi city in 2024 have attracted a large number of people, businesses and people to participate in shopping. Regional specialties, agricultural products, OCOP products, leather shoes, clothing, and electrical equipment attract thousands of people to participate in shopping every day. Accordingly, in the first 10 months of 2024, the total sales revenue of services in the area is estimated at 3,538 trillion VND, up 11.6%; export turnover of goods reached 15.5 billion USD, up 12.3% compared to 2023; inflation is well controlled, the consumer price index is gradually controlled. Currently, the city is continuing to implement the concentrated promotional program in 2024. This is one of the annual programs in a series of events to stimulate domestic demand in Hanoi and respond to the consumer stimulus program of the national concentrated promotional month in 2024".

According to Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade - Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, in recent times, our country's trade, services and tourism have had positive recoveries; total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue tend to increase compared to the same period in 2023. During the peak period at the end of the year, Mr. Tan shared a number of solutions to develop the domestic market and stimulate consumption. " The Ministry of Industry and Trade requests the Departments of Industry and Trade, provinces and centrally-run cities, industry associations, and enterprises to respond to and participate in the program; at the same time, launch the implementation of the program in localities nationwide for the National Concentrated Promotion Program in 2024. The Ministry of Industry and Trade believes that, with the response of localities, associations, and enterprises, especially from millions of Vietnamese consumers, the National Concentrated Promotion Program in 2024 will help maximize and increase total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue during the year-end period". Also according to Deputy Minister Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, with the comprehensive implementation of many solutions, the 2024 promotion program is expected to achieve the following goals: stimulating domestic demand; increasing total retail sales and consumer service revenue nationwide; effectively implementing the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" as well as continuing to remove difficulties, promote production and business, enterprise competitiveness, stabilize prices, and stabilize the market.
