Fashion on sale for the holidays

On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of National Day, September 2, shopping malls, fashion, electronics and cosmetics stores in Hanoi have had many simultaneous discount programs to stimulate shopping.

According to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, at shopping centers such as Lotte on Lieu Giai Street, BigC Thang Long, Cau Giay Street, Hang Bong Street... a series of stores selling clothes, shoes, accessories, technology products... displayed signs of discounts from 30% - 50%, to stimulate consumption and attract customers.

Among them, many famous brands such as Adidas, Nike, Nem, Format, Lining, Tokyolife, M2, Yody… also put up discount signs to attract consumers. However, according to records, the number of customers buying is low.

Ms. Le Thuy (a saleswoman at Lotte) said that although many products are deeply discounted, most people look at the products but rarely buy them.

According to Mr. Vu Anh Quan (living in Linh Dam, Hanoi), on National Day 2.9 this year, many clothing items are heavily discounted, with a wide variety of items, some items are "on sale" up to 80%. However, due to the long holiday (4 days), city residents return to their hometowns or go on vacation, so shopping is limited.

Ms. Le Van (residing in Me Tri, Nam Tu Liem) said that discounted items are a good opportunity for consumers to shop. However, this is the beginning of the school year so she has to focus on buying books and school expenses for her children.

Also according to records on Xuan Thuy, Nguyen Luong Bang, Thai Ha, Chua Boc streets... many fashion stores, technology stores, home appliances stores, electronics centers all hang "huge" promotional signs with products starting from only 99k/1 product and are "sale" with the National Day holiday of September 2 to attract customers. However, the number of customers is still not higher than normal days.
