"I feel great to be back with the team. I want to score a lot of goals and win a lot of victories. That's the most important thing and what I want. I'm ready and will do my best to help the team win," striker Nguyen Xuan Son shared on the Nam Dinh Club's homepage.
After a long time of treating a ligament injury, Xuan Son finally returned at a time when Nam Dinh was facing many changes. The Brazilian-born striker just participated in the 2-0 victory of the Vietnam team against Laos in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers. In this match, he scored the opening goal and showed a very good feeling for the ball. However, the match against Long An in the 1/8 round of the 2025/26 National Cup marked his return to the Nam Dinh team.
Nam Dinh entered the season with high expectations but continued to face difficulties.
