Responding to the above question, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Vietnam strongly condemns the terrorist attack on April 22 in Baisaran Valley, Pahalgam town, Jammu and Kashmir state, Northern India, which caused many deaths and injuries.
“We would like to send our deepest condolences to the Government and people of India and the families of the victims and believe that the perpetrators will be punished appropriately,” said Ms. Pham Thu Hang.
The spokesperson also said that yesterday (April 23), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent condolences to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the people of India.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also provided more information about citizen protection work here. Accordingly, immediately after receiving news of this terrorist attack, the leaders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs directed the Vietnamese diplomatic representative agencies in India to urgently coordinate with local authorities to verify the information and so far no citizens have been affected by this terrorist attack.
Ms. Pham Thu Hang added that Vietnamese representative agencies will continue to coordinate with Indian authorities to closely monitor the situation and be ready to take citizen protection measures in case any Vietnamese citizens are injured in this terrorist attack.
