Popular anti-inflammatory drug recalled

The Drug Administration of Vietnam ( Ministry of Health ) has just issued a decision to revoke the circulation registration certificate for a drug that has been granted a circulation registration certificate in Vietnam, which is Prednisone 5mg tablets; registration number: GC-298-18.

The reason Prednisone 5mg's circulation registration certificate in Vietnam was revoked was because the drug registration agency requested a voluntary recall.

According to the Drug Administration, Prednison 5mg tablets are registered by Imexpharm Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (No. 4, 30/4 Street, Ward 1, Cao Lanh City, Dong Thap Province) and manufactured at Agimexpharm Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company Branch - Agimexpharm Pharmaceutical Factory (Vu Trong Phung Street, Thanh An Hamlet, My Thoi Ward, Long Xuyen City, An Giang Province).

The decision also states that drugs manufactured before the effective date of this decision are allowed to be circulated until the expiry date of the drug. The drug registration and manufacturing establishments are responsible for monitoring and taking responsibility for the quality, safety and effectiveness of the drug during its circulation.
