On June 6, Ho Chi Minh City National University announced the results of the program to attract outstanding young scientists and leading scientists to work at Ho Chi Minh City National University (VNU350 Program).

According to the announcement of the VNU350 Program Recruitment Council, the first batch of 2025 received 51 applications, of which 44 were valid. Through the selection and interview process, 22 candidates were officially admitted to 4 member units of VNU-HCM, including: University of Technology, University of Natural Sciences, University of Economics and Law, and University of Health Sciences.
In the list of successful candidates, there are many scientists who graduated from prestigious universities in the world such as National University of Singapore (Singapore), Seoul National University (Korea), Yonsei University (Korea), University of Texas at Austin (USA), RWTH Aachen University (Germany), Sorbonne Paris Nord University (France), Keio University (Japan)... There are 6 people who graduated from universities in the top 100 in the world. Many of them have published dozens of scientific articles in prestigious international journals, in particular, the person with the highest number of publications is up to 72 articles.
The VNU350 program aims to realize the vision of developing VNU-HCM into a top research university system in Asia, a place to gather talents and spread Vietnamese knowledge and culture.
VNU-HCM aims to recruit 350 scientists under the VNU350 Program by 2030. To date, after the first four recruitment rounds, 49 scientists have been admitted to the program.
