The National Assembly Chairman said that the additional assessment of the socio-economic situation in 2024 showed that after more than 10 years, we have achieved and exceeded 15/15 targets, with a growth rate of about 7.09%. This is a fairly high growth rate in the region and in the world .
“The most notable thing is that the 2024 budget revenue will exceed VND342.7 trillion (20.1%). The 2024 budget revenue history will reach more than VND2 million billion, the highest level ever,” said Mr. Tran Thanh Man .

According to the National Assembly Chairman, the results achieved show that our economy is developing, economic growth, macro stability is maintained and social security is guaranteed.
In addition to the achieved results, the National Assembly Chairman also noted that management in the remaining months of 2025 must not be subjective because the world situation is still complicated, trade tensions are increasing and protectionist policies from major economies pose risks to exports and attracting foreign investment to Vietnam. These developments require flexibility in trade strategies and international negotiations.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man requested to focus on overcoming some limitations with subjective causes such as: very slow progress in public investment disbursement; weak recovery of purchasing power in some areas reflecting that domestic consumer demand is not really strong...
According to the President, our current total economic output is 476.4 billion USD, with per capita income of about 4,700 USD. However, compared to other countries, our per capita income is still low.
“Our biggest bottleneck is institutional. Second is the quality of human resources. Third is the field of infrastructure investment," said the National Assembly Chairman.
The National Assembly Chairman also expressed his high agreement with the proposal of the National Assembly deputies on continuing to strengthen and improve social security; paying close attention to the issue of job creation, including for groups of people affected by the implementation of the policy of streamlining the organizational apparatus, leaving the public sector to join the private sector.
In the final months of the year, the National Assembly Chairman also suggested paying special attention to responding to climate change, storms, floods, natural disasters, etc.
“The National Assembly will always accompany the Government under the leadership of the Party, continue to strongly reform the legal system to meet requirements, and truly remove difficulties for the economy,” the National Assembly Chairman stated.
