| Deputy Foreign Minister Ngo Le Van received Venezuelan Deputy Foreign Minister Tatiana Pugh Moreno on the occasion of joining the Venezuelan Government delegation to attend the signing ceremony of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime in Hanoi (October 25-26). |
Welcoming Venezuelan Deputy Minister Tatiana Pugh Moreno's return to Vietnam, Deputy Minister Ngo Le Van thanked the Venezuelan Government delegation for their participation at the Convention signing ceremony, demonstrating Venezuela's determination and commitment to join hands with the international community in fighting cybercrime and transnational crime, while contributing to promoting bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Venezuela.
Deputy Minister Ngo Le Van affirmed that Vietnam always appreciates the solidarity and support that the Venezuelan people have given Vietnam in the past struggle for national liberation and reunification, as well as in the current cause of construction and development; and is determined to continue to consolidate and develop the Comprehensive Partnership between the two countries in a sustainable manner, effectively serving the development of the two countries.
Deputy Minister Tatiana Pugh Moreno expressed her pleasure in returning to visit Vietnam and warmly congratulated Vietnam on successfully hosting the signing ceremony of the Hanoi Convention, thereby demonstrating Vietnam's important role at the United Nations and multilateral forums.
Ms. Tatiana Pugh Moreno emphasized that Venezuela considers Vietnam a close friend and top important partner, and conveyed the message from Venezuela's high-ranking leaders that they wish to further expand multifaceted cooperation with Vietnam, bringing economic cooperation to develop commensurate with the potential and good political relations.

The two Deputy Ministers shared the need to maintain delegation exchanges and contacts at all levels, continue to effectively and flexibly implement the Political Consultation mechanism at the Deputy Foreign Minister level and soon organize the 4th meeting of the Vietnam-Venezuela Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee; coordinate to effectively implement the documents signed in the past and promote negotiations on agreements and arrangements to create a favorable legal framework for bilateral cooperation, especially in trade, investment and potential areas such as energy, agriculture and telecommunications.
Discussing international and regional issues of mutual concern, the two Deputy Ministers shared the view that international disputes should be resolved by peaceful means on the basis of respect for the United Nations Charter and international law, respect for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of nations, and non-use or threat of force. The two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation at international organizations and multilateral forums, promote the role of international law and multilateralism, and jointly contribute to peace, stability, cooperation and prosperity in the two regions and the world.
