According to an updated report as of 5 PM on December 16th, 1,653 houses have collapsed or been swept away by floods and need to be rebuilt. This figure is an increase of 19 houses compared to the report on December 8th.

To date, the number of houses that have begun reconstruction is 1,622, reaching 98.1%. This figure is an increase of 651 houses compared to December 8th. The number of houses that have been completely rebuilt and are now occupied by residents is 474 (8 in Da Nang , 9 in Quang Ngai, 454 in Gia Lai, and 3 in Khanh Hoa). The number of houses that have been repaired is 32,259, accounting for 90.3%.
Speaking at the meeting, the Prime Minister commended Dak Lak province and Da Nang city for having started the reconstruction of houses for the people with the highest number of units built last week; Gia Lai province also completed the reconstruction of many houses.

The Prime Minister reiterated the goal of completing all house repairs by December 31, 2025, and all new construction by January 31, 2026. During implementation, any difficulties arising regarding funding, land, materials, labor, design, and other issues must be reported promptly to the Prime Minister.
"There is no longer any reason to delay or fail to complete this task, and if it is not completed, those responsible must be held accountable," the Prime Minister emphasized.
With limited time remaining until the aforementioned deadlines, the Prime Minister requests that provinces and cities, especially Gia Lai and Dak Lak provinces with a large number of houses, make even greater efforts. Party committees and authorities must closely monitor the situation to provide strict guidance; provinces and cities should urgently commence construction of the remaining houses.
The Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union must support the forces participating in construction and repair; calling on the people to help each other with the spirit of "those who have labor contribute labor, those who have resources contribute resources, those who have much contribute much, those who have little contribute little, help wherever it is convenient."

In addition, local authorities provide materials and designs for the people; the Ministry of National Defense ensures the construction workforce with the spirit of "Our army comes from the people and serves the people"; the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment coordinates with local authorities, closely monitors the situation, and handles any arising issues related to land and construction materials.
The Government Inspectorate is conducting an inspection of the implementation of tasks and the use of support funds. Petrovietnam, EVN, VNPT, and Viettel corporations are actively supporting local authorities.
Regarding infrastructure restoration, including shared infrastructure related to people's daily lives, the Prime Minister requested that by December 20th, localities must compile a list of community centers, health stations, cultural centers, etc., that need repair or restoration, and report it to the Government Office for submission to the Government for consideration of support.
Regarding the restoration of production and business, the Prime Minister emphasized that the central government will provide financial support so that localities can proactively purchase seeds, seedlings, and agricultural supplies to support people in restocking livestock, restoring crop cultivation, and aquaculture...
The Prime Minister requested that all relevant parties immediately get to work with the spirit of prioritizing the well-being and happiness of the people, with heartfelt compassion for their fellow citizens and those in need, treating it as their own personal responsibility.
