In his opening speech, the Prime Minister emphasized that, as required, there is not much time left to develop the Private Economic Development Project, while this is a difficult issue, with a wide scope, many research subjects, and related to all levels, sectors, and localities; private economic development is an issue of great significance in national development, especially in the new period.
Along with promoting the completion of tasks for the 2021-2025 term; conducting a "revolution" to reorganize the apparatus of the political system; promoting breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, digital transformation for rapid and sustainable development, focusing on developing green economy, digital economy, knowledge economy, circular economy, sharing economy, especially emerging industries such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, internet of things...
After its establishment, the Steering Committee held its first meeting to introduce and outline the program, identify the tasks, viewpoints, goals, and main directions for developing the Private Economic Development Project to submit to the Politburo. Immediately after that, the Steering Committee held 8 workshops, organized working groups to survey localities; collected opinions from ministries, branches, localities, and members of the Steering Committee to continue perfecting the Project one step further.
On that basis, at this Session, the Prime Minister requested the members of the Steering Committee to focus on discussing and giving opinions on the draft Project on Private Economic Development. In which, the members correctly assessed the role of the private economy; the objective situation of private economic development; what has been done and what has not been done; limitations, shortcomings, causes, lessons learned; and the viewpoint on private economic development as the most important driving force of development.
Members also proposed goals, tasks, and solutions for private economic development; protection of the rights and legitimate interests of the private economy; specific mechanisms and policies for private economic development to ensure feasibility, efficiency, and compliance with the market economic mechanism and international commitments that Vietnam has participated in.
With the viewpoint that “resources come from thinking, motivation comes from innovation, strength comes from the people”, the Prime Minister asked the delegates to value time, promote intelligence, with innovative thinking, discuss, give opinions, and soon complete the Project to submit to the Politburo to ensure time and quality...
