Chicken meat prices in Hai Duong increased

Compared to the Lunar New Year, chicken prices in Hai Duong have increased from 3,000 - 10,000 VND/kg, while the price of bran remains the same.

According to some breeders in Gia Loc, Tu Ky... recently, the price of meat chicken has increased again. Crossbred fighting chickens are sold for 68,000 - 70,000 VND/kg, Ho chickens from 50,000 - 55,000 VND/kg... an increase of 3,000 - 10,000 VND/kg. With this selling price, after deducting costs, breeders make a profit of 5,000 - 10,000 VND/kg. The price of chicken eggs has also increased by 100 - 300 VND/egg, selling price from 1,700 - 1,900 VND/egg at the farm.

The reason for the increase in selling price is due to strong increase in demand while supply decreases.

Previously, poultry and egg prices in Hai Duong dropped sharply, causing many livestock farmers to suffer losses. The reason was that farms focused on raising livestock for the Lunar New Year but after Tet there was still a lot of inventory. Many livestock farmers did not continue to invest due to losses.
