At the meeting, both sides expressed their delight at the positive developments in the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries in recent times, including the exchange and cooperation between the Vietnamese National Assembly and the National People's Congress of China. The two sides had in-depth discussions and reached many common perceptions on measures to promote and deepen the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China in general and between the two legislative bodies in particular in the coming time.

Wishing that the two sides continue to concretize and effectively implement the high-level common perceptions reached between the top leaders of the two Parties and two countries, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested that the two sides increase exchanges and delegations at all levels, promote and deepen substantive and mutually beneficial cooperation in all fields, enhance the exchange of experiences in Party building and national management, friendly exchanges between the people of the two countries, closely and effectively coordinate at multilateral forums, and at the same time, properly handle differences in the spirit of friendship, in accordance with high-level common perceptions and international law.

The Prime Minister also hoped that the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Chinese National People's Congress would create a favorable legal basis, promote their supervisory role, and urge ministries, branches, and localities of both sides to actively implement high-level common perceptions and signed documents and agreements, promote cooperation in all fields, and promote the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership to develop even more strongly in the coming time.

Emphasizing that practical cooperation between the two countries' legislative bodies is an important part of the overall relations between the two Parties and the two countries, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested that the Vietnamese National Assembly and the National People's Congress of China maintain regular exchanges and delegations between specialized committees and People's Councils at all levels, promote the role of the two Vietnam-China Friendship Parliamentarians' Groups; and increase the exchange of experiences in improving the effectiveness of legislative bodies' operations and building a socialist rule-of-law state. The Prime Minister conveyed the invitation of the Vietnamese National Assembly to the young parliamentarian delegation of the National People's Congress of China to Vietnam to attend the 9th Global Young Parliamentarians' Conference hosted by the Vietnamese National Assembly from September 14-18, 2023 in Hanoi.

Chairman Zhao Leji affirmed that China and Vietnam are two countries that are geographically close and have similar ideals and development paths; enhancing learning and sharing experiences in Party building and national governance, deepening the friendly neighborly relations and comprehensive cooperation between China and Vietnam is in line with the aspirations of the people of the two countries.

Comrade Trieu Lac Te highly appreciated and agreed with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's proposals on developing relations between the two Parties and two countries; emphasizing that China and Vietnam are two friendly, socialist neighboring countries, both shouldering the historical mission of bringing happiness to the people and developing the country.

Comrade Zhao Leji said that maintaining the China-Vietnam friendship and solidarity is a practical need to steadily move forward on the path of socialism and realize the prosperous development of each country. China attaches importance to developing friendly and cooperative relations with Vietnam and is ready to work with Vietnam to well implement the high-level agreements and common perceptions that have been reached, promoting the China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership to new heights.

Comrade Zhao Leji affirmed that the National People's Congress of China is willing to promote and further deepen friendly exchanges and practical cooperation with the Vietnamese National Assembly, contributing to promoting the China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership to continuously develop in the coming time./.
