The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to teachers who have many outstanding achievements in the education and training career; they are the core elements spreading good values ​​to students.

On the afternoon of November 15, on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2025), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with representatives of education management officials, lecturers and teachers nationwide in 2025.

Also attending the meeting were Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long; former Vice President, President of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education Nguyen Thi Doan; Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son; leaders of relevant ministries, branches and agencies; especially 60 educators who are education managers, lecturers and teachers representing 173 outstanding individuals to be honored in 2025.

Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son said that the teachers attending the meeting came from all levels of education, all regions, from modern urban areas to remote areas and islands. Each teacher is a beautiful story of love for the profession, perseverance to overcome difficulties, and endless creativity.

Whether they are people who dedicate their lives to the podium, pioneers in digital transformation or silently guide disadvantaged students, teachers are shining examples of ethics and personality, and are the core factors in the "Innovation and Creativity" emulation movements, contributing to building trust and arousing pride in the noble and humane image of teachers.

At the meeting, representatives of teachers expressed their deep gratitude to the leaders of the Party, State and Prime Minister for always paying attention and encouraging the cause of education; as well as always listening to opinions, suggestions and directly discussing with representatives of teachers, showing respect for the role of teachers, creating great motivation for the whole sector to well perform the tasks assigned by the Party and State.

Sharing their love for the profession, experiences, and efforts for their beloved students and for the country's education, the teachers also requested the Prime Minister and Party and State leaders to direct more effective implementation, so that important policies of the Party and State such as Resolution 29 on fundamental and comprehensive education innovation; Conclusion 91 on continuing to implement Resolution 29, Resolution 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in education and training development, especially the Law on Teachers... can truly come into life, bringing about practical results.

Delegates also wish to pay attention to and support standard training for preschool teachers, especially in remote areas; have a policy for nutrition staff in preschools; invest in applying science and technology in schools; have specific mechanisms for a number of important, priority, and strategic training sectors; have a more equal policy between the public and private education sectors...

Speaking at the meeting, on the occasion of Vietnam Teachers' Day November 20, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, expressed his deep gratitude to all generations of teachers and lecturers across the country, who have always devoted themselves day and night to the glorious and noble cause of "cultivating people" of our nation.

Highlighting the tradition of studiousness, respect for teachers, and appreciation of talents as profound humanistic values ​​of our nation through folk songs and proverbs: “Father’s rice, mother’s clothes, teacher’s words. Think about it to make up for the days of longing”; “My child, remember this saying - Father’s grace, mother’s kindness, teacher’s work, don’t forget,” the Prime Minister said that during his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh always highly appreciated the role of teachers in educating the young generation; He emphasized: “Without teachers, there is no education. Without education, without cadres, there is no talk of economy and culture,” “An ignorant nation is a weak nation.”

The Prime Minister affirmed that our Party and State always consider education and training as the top national policy; education and training form the "Virtue-Intelligence-Physical-Beauty" of people; human resources are the decisive factor in the success or failure of a nation and in the process of rapid and sustainable development of the country; investing in people is investing in development.

According to the Prime Minister, to achieve the country's two 100-year strategic goals, the Politburo has issued many strategic resolutions to bring the country into a new era, in which the Politburo, the National Assembly, and the Government have issued many policies, mechanisms, solutions to create breakthroughs in education development and training of high-quality human resources and focused on directing their implementation.

Through the sincere and emotional sharing of teachers about their lives and careers, the Prime Minister respectfully expressed his gratitude to teachers who have many outstanding achievements in the education and training career; are the core elements spreading good values ​​to students; are truly shining examples of morality, self-study and creativity, dedication and devotion to the career of "cultivating people."

The Prime Minister expressed his pride in the teachers who have made every effort to contribute, dedicate, and silently sacrifice to “plant the seeds of knowledge, nurture dreams, inspire passion, inspire creativity, and build the foundation for the future” for generations of students; not only having the responsibility to impart knowledge, but also being a companion, helping them explore the world and find the values ​​of life. For every teacher, teaching is not simply a job but also a passion and a sacred mission.

Naming many teachers who not only do well in professional and management work, but also actively conduct scientific research, innovate, apply to practice to improve the quality of teaching and learning, publish many scientific articles, win many prestigious international awards; actively participate in social activities, volunteer, for students and the community, the Prime Minister is also proud to have teachers who not only do well in teaching in class, but also guide and train many excellent students, participate and win many international awards, contributing to the glory of the country's education, demonstrating the bravery, talent and intelligence of Vietnamese students; as well as teachers who persevere through streams and passes, put aside homesickness, missing loved ones, determined to "carry letters" to highlands, remote areas, and ethnic minority areas.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged and warmly commended the tireless efforts, struggles, silent sacrifices and dedication of the teaching staff in particular and the entire education and training sector in general, contributing significantly to the strategic breakthrough in human resource development to serve the cause of industrialization, modernization and rapid and sustainable national development.

In order to continue to resolutely and comprehensively innovate education and training, aiming for Vietnam's education and training to reach the advanced level of the Asian region by 2030 and the advanced level of the world by 2045 in the spirit of Resolution 71 of the Politburo, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested the Minister of Education and Training, Ministers, Heads of sectors, Secretaries, and Chairmen of People's Committees of localities to continue to pay more attention and care for the cause of education and training; resolutely, synchronously, and effectively carry out assigned tasks, truly creating a breakthrough in the quality of education and training at all levels with the motto "Taking students as the center and subject - Teachers as the driving force and inspiration - Schools as the support - Families as the fulcrum - Society as the foundation."

In particular, thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the Party and State's guidelines, policies and laws on education and training, especially Resolution 71 of the Politburo, Conclusion No. 91-KL/TW dated August 12, 2024 of the Politburo on implementing fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training, and Decision No. 1705/QD-TTg dated December 31, 2024 of the Prime Minister on the Education Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

Along with that, continue to review, amend and supplement institutions, mechanisms and policies in a timely manner, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of education; promptly issue detailed regulations and guidance on the implementation of 3 draft laws being submitted to the National Assembly for approval, including: Law amending a number of articles of the Law on Education, Law on Higher Education (amended), Law on Vocational Education (amended); effectively organize the implementation of the Law on Teachers; summarize, comprehensively evaluate and adjust and perfect the general education program and textbooks.

The Head of Government requested to focus on improving the quality of education and training at all levels, especially university training in a practical and in-depth direction; create a favorable environment to attract investment resources for education and training development, ensure fairness and equality between the public and private sectors; and promote public-private cooperation.

Continue to review and plan the network of preschool, general education, continuing education, education for the disabled, university and pedagogical college education; effectively implement the policy of tuition exemption and support for preschool children and general education students.

Building schools and classrooms to meet the learning needs associated with urbanization and population shift trends. In particular, it is important to complete the construction of 100 schools for handover and use in August 2026; at the same time, continue to study the construction of 148 schools to achieve the goal of completing the construction of 248 schools nationwide by 2028 according to the Conclusion Notice No. 81-TB/TW of the Politburo.

Expressing concern for caring for the teaching staff, the Prime Minister requested to focus on building, reviewing, amending and supplementing appropriate policies and remuneration regimes in accordance with the spirit of Resolution 71.

The Ministry of Education and Training shall preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Home Affairs and relevant agencies to research, develop and promulgate policies to ensure that teachers receive salaries commensurate with their efforts, especially preschool teachers, those working in remote, isolated and disadvantaged areas, and teachers teaching arduous and hazardous professions...

Focus on recruiting and restructuring the teaching staff according to the assigned staffing levels, promptly overcoming the local surplus and shortage of teachers in the spirit of: "Where there are students, there are teachers." Promote recruitment, management, and effective use of the assigned teacher staffing levels in Decision No. 72-QD/TW of the Politburo.

Strengthen the prevention of school violence, protect teachers and students, and strengthen the prevention of crimes and social evils in the educational environment. Resolutely rectify negative practices in education; maintain a respectful environment between teachers and students; effectively implement the motto "teachers are teachers, students are students" in terms of ethics, personality, and knowledge.

Recalling the words of the late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong: “Teaching is the noblest of all noble professions,” the Prime Minister hopes and believes that each teacher will continue to be a shining example of cultivating virtue and talent, loving the profession and loving people; constantly studying, cultivating, accumulating knowledge and experience, improving professional qualifications; being proactive, applying science and technology, having new approaches in teaching and learning; so that each lesson is truly useful and interesting, so that each school day is truly a happy day.

Taking note of the opinions of teachers and assigning ministries and agencies to synthesize, resolve and propose solutions; on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh wishes the entire education and training sector, all teachers to always promote the spirit of responsibility and enthusiasm for the profession, strive to overcome all difficulties, continue to carry out the glorious mission, the glorious responsibility of "teaching letters, teaching people", making an important contribution to bringing our country to steady development in the new era./.
