Rehearsal of rescue plan for victims trapped in fire

The drill involved a hypothetical fire at a fabric and footwear kiosk caused by an electrical short circuit. On-site forces quickly detected the fire and reported it to the authorities; at the same time, on-site equipment was used to put out the fire.

After receiving the fire alarm, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Hue City Police dispatched 2 fire trucks, 1 water tanker and 23 officers and soldiers from the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 2 to the scene. From there, they coordinated with the local forces to extinguish the fire; at the same time, they guided the escape and rescued 7 trapped victims and many properties to a safe location.

The drill aims to improve the level of organization, management and command of coordination in fire fighting and rescue. At the same time, it enhances the initiative and combat readiness in all incident situations; thereby, raising the sense of responsibility and the ability to handle situations when there is a fire or explosion of small traders, grassroots fire prevention forces and Tay Loc Market Management Board.
