In May 2025, the Standing Committee of Lao Cai Provincial People's Council proactively followed the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, organized the implementation according to the set plan; directed the development of the expected content and program of the 30th session (Session to resolve arising work). Based on the submission of the Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council directed the Staff Office to prepare the contents of the report to the Party Committee of the People's Council, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee for opinions on the policy of organizing the session; directed the Provincial People's Council Committees to review the draft Resolution documents and prepare other contents to serve the organization of the session scheduled for June 6, 2025. Accordingly, the session will consider 8 submissions of the Provincial People's Committee and 1 submission of the Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council; expected to pass 9 Resolutions, including 2 legal Resolutions.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council held a joint meeting to agree on the expected content and agenda of the 2025 regular session of the Provincial People's Council, including 22 reports from the People's Council, the People's Committee and the branches. Of which, there are 9 reports from the People's Council, 10 reports from the Provincial People's Committee, and 3 reports from judicial agencies. At the same time, the meeting considered and approved 15 reports, including 2 reports from the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and 13 reports from the Provincial People's Committee; expected to approve 18 resolutions, including 6 legal resolutions; plan to meet voters before and after the regular mid-year session of 2025 of the delegates of the 16th term Lao Cai Provincial People's Council...

Supervision and survey activities: The Standing Committee of the People's Council, the People's Council Committees, and the delegations of the Provincial People's Council complete and issue the supervision reports implemented in April; complete the report on the results of the specialized supervision of the Provincial People's Council on the implementation of the first issuance of land use right certificates and land use purpose conversion for households and individuals in the province, period 2022 - 2024, submit to the regular mid-year meeting of the Provincial People's Council in 2025; at the same time, carry out 4 supervisions, including 1 specialized supervision and 3 regular supervisions and surveys.

Accumulated from the beginning of 2025 to present, the Standing Committee of the People's Council, the People's Council Committees, and the People's Council delegations have issued plans and conducted 14 supervisions and surveys. Of which, there are 6 thematic supervisions related to many contents and fields that voters are interested in; regular supervision of the implementation of the Provincial People's Council Resolution; the promulgation of Resolutions of the District People's Council; the settlement of voters' opinions and recommendations; recommendations after supervision.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council organized supervision of the organization and implementation of the consultation on the draft Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2023 Constitution. The Standing Committee of the Lao Cai Provincial People's Council coordinated with the Standing Committee of the Yen Bai Provincial People's Council to conduct a survey of the socio-economic situation and grasp the grassroots situation in districts, towns and cities of Lao Cai province, serving the development of mechanisms and policies in the coming time.

The opinions and recommendations of voters are all directed by the Standing Committee of Lao Cai Provincial People's Council, reviewed and issued documents requesting competent authorities to direct and resolve. The opinions and recommendations after supervision and survey of the People's Council, the Standing Committee of the People's Council, the People's Council Committees and the delegations of the Provincial People's Council are also given attention and direction by the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council.
